Hey Oklahoma, Indiana called. They want their uniforms back.
Apparently, Indiana traded its uniforms for Kevin Wilson. #HALOL they forgot to also offer a wad of thrown gum for a defense...
sure enjoys being on stage and showing his moves. Didn't know there was such power in a crosscut slice of a tree.
The wood effect is pretty subtle; can only see it briefly in the video. I'd give it 4 meh's out of 5.
Those red helmets are sick. I'm a fan.
My first impression as well
I didn't think we were allowed to like anything red.
designs
So this is what happens when you beat Saban
Jeez, Nike is awful.
But they're supposed to be the savior for Michigan athletic apparel/uniforms when the adidas contract is up!
Or something!
Victoria secret over Adidas.
you're onto something. I'm picturing corsetted carcajous.
The sexiest team in NCAA
Wait.... you saw that!?
GET OUT OF MY HEAD!
Like you wouldn't post about having bought the Michigan version of these if they came out.
Says the guy that's over 40..
They look like they're wearing collars...
Maybe they're supposed to look like ascots. All the cool kids are wearing them.
but pretty boring
Looks like it should say Hoosiers on the front.
Stanford?
pro big business === pro these uniforms
Oklahoma has wood?
Oh I see THAT kind of wood.
Just keep the wood grain off the winged helmets.
I think it looks fine. Kinda boring actually
The Sooners official site provides a little more insight into the reasoning behind the uniforms, at least as they describe it. The full piece is here - LINK
With regards to the white version of the helmet, the article reads:
Nike’s white helmet design pays tribute to Wilkinson’s squads that captured national championships in 1950, 1955 and 1956. Those Oklahoma teams wore white headgear with a signature crimson stripe from crown to base.
#BringTheWood?!?!? Really OU?
I'd rather go to Under Armour when the Adidas deal expires, if only because BOY will that annoy Notre Dame to have THAT deal usurped as well!
That would be awful to attempt to play basketball in under armour shoes. My as we'll be Fila.
Wait...what?!?!
And another team that hasn't had uniformz yet bites the dust.
Nike's number fetish continues. Does this piss anyone else off? Standard block, numbers forever.
am I the only one who likes these? its a little cooler than their old uniforms which were bland but still stays pretty traditional. the wood on the red helmet is pretty subtle but I think its pretty sweet
Not really a fan of the white helmets, but recruits love these, so what do I know?
Honestly, I kind of like them.
An aside: met Courtney Avery today on campus; very nice guy. We chatted for a minute about the 2011 Ohio State game.
Like you're the Oregon of Nowheresville. Just uhhh don't light a match on a dry day near those helmets.
They're ok, I like the wood grain look but other than that, eh, rather Indiana-ish
When I first saw the picture I thought those were the new home and away uniforms... now knowing its an alternate uniform, I don't think they are that bad.
If u ask me
Maybe next we can have another lame slogan like #eatthesoup. And have cool graphics of chunks of meat & carrots on our helmets.
But, I wouldn't mind Michigan going to Champion or back to Russell, if the price is right of course. PLEASE, for the love of God, Dave Brandon, don't make us wear Adidas gear anymore.
Yeah man champion is sick. It's 1992 again right? Let's play some sega genesis and rock our Miami starter hats.
why do the jerseys have bibs? are they going to get burped by the coaches after each series?
I feel like, in the days of concussion-consciousness, having wood-grained helmets and a "bring the wood" slogan is a bit of an odd choice.

Tradition is of course something that should be obliterated, not celebrated.
