Yay, awesome news!!! I saw something on twitter earlier this week about how his Ohio State visit couldn't have gone better (not something he tweeted, a recruiting guru or someone) so I was anxious to see how his Michigan visit would go. Did not think he would commit! Welcome to Michigan, Chris!

Really excited about the possibility of Clark playing at Michigan!  I just have to stay calm and think positive thoughts.  Here's hoping the wandering eye--so helpful when exhibited down at N.C.--never returns!

they pull me back in! I don't want to know anything about recruiting anymore. I've said it at least a few times a week the last few months and last in the Messiah hello. Yet, I'll admit it's exciting. It's why I used to love following recruiting. Hopefully it's more solid than the UNC commit as a small class could get decimated if Hoke is a foregone conclusion fire by November. A position of need and a supposed beast! Final time (unless it's a Peppers level kid) I'll say I'm excited before he is on campus. Does SC (or anyone) know if the recent TE offers (even '16) made his UM lean turn full commit?

From 247 article on why he committed today:

"Just the fact I want to have the opportunity to recruit at The Opening," Clark said, "I want to let people know I'm at Michigan and I'd like to tell people they're building big things at Michigan and tell them to be part of it.

"I just feel so good at Michigan. I thought it would be a great day to do it with my mom and dad here."

With all due respect to Heck - and I love the attitude - most of the negativity is coming from East Lansing and Columbus.  Take care of business and it all goes away.  This team has a ton of talent, now it's up to the coaches.

Awesome commit with Clark.  Anyone else think he may grow into tackle?

There's plenty of positivity too, but there's plenty of negativity because of the lack of winning.  It has nothing to do with recruiting.  Win games, beat MSU and OSU, and it all goes away.  It feels nice to win a recruiting battle here and there, but not as nice as victories on the field.  I am in the camp that thinks the current staff gets it all sorted out once the o-line gets some years under their belt, but that we are still probably another year away from that.  Then all this leadership, player development, recruiting momentum talk all quiets and this stuff just takes care of itself.

Except I think the O-Line goes from flaming tire fire with legendarily tough quarterback to annoying but serviceable with legendarily tough quarterback and passable running game. With the development of the defense (which will be a wrecking crew) you're looking at 9 wins. If, and its a big if, Hoke gets 9 wins and this thing really gets rolling over the next few years there's going to be a lot of happy people in the fanbase because we haven't seen this level of accumulated talent since mid-Carr era.

Agreed, and I hope you're right on the o-line point.  I try not to let myself get too optimisitc to avoid the disapointment.  I hate even seeing myself write that because that's an awful psychology to have, but it's the truth.  I agree the defense should be pretty good.  I simply don't see how guys like Pipkins, Charlton, Ross, Gedeon, RJS, Wilson, Countess, Lewis, Thomas, Peppers, on defense, and Morris, Green, Isaacs, Funchess, Butt, Canteen, Harris, Kalis, Kugler, Dawson, Bosch, Cole etc. are not absolutely lights out in the very near future.  There is top talent at every position across the board.

I'd like to see the bar set based on big 10 wins. IIRC, Bo and Carr never had losing seasons in the big 10. No matter who was on those teams or how young they were. Since, then we've only had 2 winning seasons. That has to change this year. No excuses.
