Yay, awesome news!!! I saw something on twitter earlier this week about how his Ohio State visit couldn't have gone better (not something he tweeted, a recruiting guru or someone) so I was anxious to see how his Michigan visit would go. Did not think he would commit! Welcome to Michigan, Chris!
Really excited about the possibility of Clark playing at Michigan! I just have to stay calm and think positive thoughts. Here's hoping the wandering eye--so helpful when exhibited down at N.C.--never returns!
People in the know are saying that he committed to NC without his family's approval and they are 100% behind Michigan
Speak it, bro! Now that is what I like to hear! In Clark we have the antipode to the Campbell commitment . . . .
The more TEs the better. Now we just need to win 10 games next year.
She just seems so.......happy.
He wasjust at MSU yest and Rexrode retweeted him "unreal day at MSU" ...so my Sparty friends told me they had him. lol.
His offer list is Outstanding! Awesome news!
Being the No. 1 TE (per Scout) tends to lead to a lot of great offers... and hopefully a great career
I love camp season! Welcome Mr. Clark! May you block all the people and catch all the passes! Go Blue!
The tide is already shifting.
Hell, people in Connecticut are starting to believe Hoke. Jerseys may start selling like hot cakes.
Sweet! Huge pick up!
Will all be giants. I like it.
Instead of committing at The Opening, the nation's No. 2 TE Chris Clark plans to recruit for #Michigan wile there: http://michigan.247sports.com/Article/Chris-Clark-Commits-To-Michigan-Wolverines-29227718 …
That Wile has been at Michigan for a while. Unless it's a younger Wile I don't know about.
Is Wile E. any relation to Space?
Nah, Space Coyote was voiced by Johnny Cash while Wile E. Coyote (if he ever talked) was voiced by Mel Blanc.
they pull me back in! I don't want to know anything about recruiting anymore. I've said it at least a few times a week the last few months and last in the Messiah hello. Yet, I'll admit it's exciting. It's why I used to love following recruiting. Hopefully it's more solid than the UNC commit as a small class could get decimated if Hoke is a foregone conclusion fire by November. A position of need and a supposed beast! Final time (unless it's a Peppers level kid) I'll say I'm excited before he is on campus. Does SC (or anyone) know if the recent TE offers (even '16) made his UM lean turn full commit?
Well that's really good news, any idea on how many spots we have left?
From 247 article on why he committed today:
"Just the fact I want to have the opportunity to recruit at The Opening," Clark said, "I want to let people know I'm at Michigan and I'd like to tell people they're building big things at Michigan and tell them to be part of it.
"I just feel so good at Michigan. I thought it would be a great day to do it with my mom and dad here."
Go Blue.
I am starting to get hopeful for next year.
Nice.
Love it!
I am LOVING the staff's TE recruiting
Told u. Keep it coming, the negativity, the doubting!! Because within the walls of Schembechler WE BELIEVE!! #gunslingers

With all due respect to Heck - and I love the attitude - most of the negativity is coming from East Lansing and Columbus. Take care of business and it all goes away. This team has a ton of talent, now it's up to the coaches.
Awesome commit with Clark. Anyone else think he may grow into tackle?
Take a look at the ESPN thread from yesterday where posters discussed how Michigan would not get another elite recruit this cycle. The negativity nearby.
Someone hasn't stopped by the 400+ comment "Confessions of a Michigan Football Fan" thread... The negativity is definitely in our own backyard
There's plenty of positivity too, but there's plenty of negativity because of the lack of winning. It has nothing to do with recruiting. Win games, beat MSU and OSU, and it all goes away. It feels nice to win a recruiting battle here and there, but not as nice as victories on the field. I am in the camp that thinks the current staff gets it all sorted out once the o-line gets some years under their belt, but that we are still probably another year away from that. Then all this leadership, player development, recruiting momentum talk all quiets and this stuff just takes care of itself.
Except I think the O-Line goes from flaming tire fire with legendarily tough quarterback to annoying but serviceable with legendarily tough quarterback and passable running game. With the development of the defense (which will be a wrecking crew) you're looking at 9 wins. If, and its a big if, Hoke gets 9 wins and this thing really gets rolling over the next few years there's going to be a lot of happy people in the fanbase because we haven't seen this level of accumulated talent since mid-Carr era.
Agreed, and I hope you're right on the o-line point. I try not to let myself get too optimisitc to avoid the disapointment. I hate even seeing myself write that because that's an awful psychology to have, but it's the truth. I agree the defense should be pretty good. I simply don't see how guys like Pipkins, Charlton, Ross, Gedeon, RJS, Wilson, Countess, Lewis, Thomas, Peppers, on defense, and Morris, Green, Isaacs, Funchess, Butt, Canteen, Harris, Kalis, Kugler, Dawson, Bosch, Cole etc. are not absolutely lights out in the very near future. There is top talent at every position across the board.
Honestly I feel we have 10 win talent. Anything less is a disappointment. I'm not calling for Hoke's head, it's just that we need to beat our rivals. No excuses.
I'd like to see the bar set based on big 10 wins. IIRC, Bo and Carr never had losing seasons in the big 10. No matter who was on those teams or how young they were. Since, then we've only had 2 winning seasons. That has to change this year. No excuses.
ahhhhhhh shit!
Sparty and OSU thought they had a chance. Not so fast you filthy animals.
keep the change, you filthy animals
Lets start freaking winning now.
Welcome Chris!!
He loved the airing of the grievances!!!
And I really love the tweet with Dantonio only a couple days ago.
But enough of my foolish obsession, welcome to Michigan young man!
Go Blue!!
Welcome aboard Chris.
Harrison and Campbell! Lets go boys lets get serious
1-2 RB
1-2 TE
1-2 WR
Guys come back home!!!!!
* Harris
So Hoke still has recruits commit in pairs. We'll done Coach
And with this commitment, Michigan is currently tied with PSU at #5 (#6 for you purists) in avg. class rank on Rivals. Just thought I would point that out.
