Les Miles wants his son to play at Michigan (2015 QB)
He doesn't want to play for his dad and has interest in our campus. I'm really not sure how good a prospect he is but Miles is at the Sound Body camp. I just thought this was mildly interesting.

Why wouldn't he want to play for his dad?
He's scared of the bag man.
Doesn't have the chest for it.
On the one hand it's kind of cool; on the other hand it kind of sucks for both parties: there always seem to be people suspecting the kid gets favorable treatment and the parent tends to overcompensate. Would you want to be John Lickliter?
I mean, when the girl says, "C'mon, Lickliter", does he increase or decrease the intensity?
he had issues maybe playing under his dad as a kid at some point. I won't coach my kids, my dad was great but I was overwhelmed and failure sucks as a kid especially when your dad is your coach. I won't coach my kids, I want them to experience it without me lecturing them at home and on the field. I was burnt out from baseball by 14, I was scouted starting at 10, went with high school kids to college pitch camps after they invited me. It was to much, I hated failing, losing. It wasn't fun any more to me, it was a job. Anyways yeah I understand Les if this is the case.
and we've never had an issue separating the playing field from our home or intertwined the coach/father thing. In fact, I'm pretty certain the only reason my daughter plays soccer is bc I coach her...
If the only reason your daughter plays soccer is because you coach her, then there's a problem...
That's a ridiculous assertion. perhaps she just enjoys the time with her father.
Les may know something about 2015?
Chaos
Screw Les Miles.
Les Miles screws you. You the man, Les!
Knowing the SEC, Les would probabaly cut him... as he is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound quarterback.
I'm not a huge fan of Miles as a coach, but it's hard to question his devotion to the University of Michigan, so this makes a lot of sense. If he was ever actually offered the job here, I'm sure he would have taken it in a heartbeat.
whose wife would he sleep with this time?
His ethics are terrible, for sure. I would never want the guy as our coach. I'm just saying that--aside from the sleeping with other coaches' wives and negative recruiting against Lloyd Carr--he is devoted to Michigan. I think. Okay, those are two pretty bad things. Maybe not.
I'm not sure him sleeping with another coach's wife makes him any less devoted to Michigan. I think maybe it makes that wife less devoted to said Michigan coach, but has little to do with his loyalty to his alma mater.
I tend to agree with you, but I'm sure someone could make the argument that it destroyed camaraderie amongst the coaching staff, thus hurting the team, or something along those lines. And then you could say that his actions were disloyal to the University of Michigan as a result...in some vague sense. I don't really buy it, but I guess the argument could be made.
Anyone with a shred of honor and who could think a few steps ahead would know it was going to strain relationships and create distractions at the "office."
If anything it shows the opposite- that he's extremely loyal to Michigan. So much so that he likes sleeping with women who are married to its coaches.
tap your co-workers thang. You just don't, not if you have a shred of decency and honor.
Yes, I don't think it's something you should do. You probably shouldn't tap anybody's wife, really. But my only point was that is doesn't say much about his loyalty to Michigan.
If he gets us in a big bowl game that we dominate. He already has given me the approval. Thanks Jim!
Behind this?
Allegedly, Les and Mrs. Gary Moeller were sleeping together. When Gary found out, he was naturally upset, hence his drunken episode at that restaurant
All the hatred for Les...what about Mrs. M?
She hasn't been mentioned as a candidate when Michigan was looking for a coach.

I've heard the rumor and remember the outburst but I didn't realize it was the reason for it. Is this true?
You have no clue what really happened with Miles do you? Les Miles wasn't the person who screwed around with a former assistants wife. He was the person that called Carr out for it. Maybe you remember Bill McCartney well if you and some of the other board people would do some investigation they would have seen Carr's wife is actually Bill McCarney's ex wife. Miles called Carr out for it along with another coach who had a break down at a local restaurant when his wife found out about his infidelities.
This is the correct story. I've told it many times on this board, but that ire against LM is so deep on this board, facts get twisted.
Upon deep investigation, I have concluded Bill McCartney's dead wife Lyndi McCartney and Lloyd Carr's current wife Laurie McCartney are not the same person.
Guess we still don't know the whole story.
Laurie Carr, use to be married to Bill McCartney's brother. Laurie was not Bill's wife, but rather sister-in-law.
"If" Lloyd was cheating with Laurie while she was still married, she wasn't married to an assitant coach, but rather an assitant coach's brother.
Aside from mixing up the people, the timing makes no sense. Les Miles was in high school when Lloyd and Laurie McCartney got married. Their third oldest child was already a senior QB at UM when Moeller was fired. Shouldn't you have been the one doing the investigating you called for?
I just want to say one word to you. Just one word. Cougar.
another with the "you're clueless and I'm smart" behavior when in fact they are truly clueless. The poster even said allegedly. That means no proof. Not something he witnessed in person. You give him the "you're clueless" bit and then tell a total bs story because you are seriously clueless. You weren't there. You didn't witness it either. But you're so smart you're going to talk as if you know. Ha classic.
he could sleep with my wife if that is what it would take to have him coach here...
As a preferred walk on?
Once Sparty makes him an offer...
It would be difficult for him to pull a scholarship from his son. The usual form letter, hide in his office trick won't work as well when he has to see him again.
my dad wants me to play for Michigan too. some things just don't happen.
wanted me to be a doctor. Until she saw my 1st term GPA and recalculated to Garbage Collection.
Since then, it's been nowhere but up.
Mom told me I could be anything I wanted to be, "within reason". When I asked her what "within reason" meant, she said, "You ask a lot of questions for a garbage man."
Does this have the feel of a "He's probably not good enough for LSU/SEC football but he could play in the Big Ten" type of quote?
