Is it a rule that they have to be used every year?    I assume they don't.

Hoke said “The Legend jerseys aren't simply given, but earned”.  If they HAVE to be given out every year, they probably won't always have viable candidates for earning them.

The goal of the program is to get those numbers on the field yearly, to make sure those Legends are remembered forever.

#21 and #11 are up for grabs this year. My picks are Chesson and Countess.

Why couldn't Wilson wear it?

Kovacs and Avery both wore it as safeties, why not Wilson? Not like Avery was a starter or played a ton. Wilson should do both.

Just wondering how you can guarantee (with all caps) something that none of us have a clue about. Especially when I kind of just presented a very realistic alternative.

Yeah, giving Braylon #1 really hurt Michigan. They only won back-to-back Big Ten Championships when he was given it after being told he "had to earn it".

Interesting stat: The last three years the #1 has been on the field, Michigan has won the Big Ten.

I seriously hope they get rid of that "earn it" thing and just give the #1 jersey to a freshman receiver. It saddens me that that number hasn't been out there in 10 years.

...I can't stand the location of the adidas logo centered above the number, looks like a fuckin circonflexe from a distance.

Frankly, I wish they'd keep their dirty logo off our jerseys but if they must, then couldn't it at least be towards the right shoulder?  Maybe use it to balance out the stupid B1G logo too.
