Hello: Ty Isaac
Shouldn't be long now before Ty Isaac announces his plans
EDIT: Oh, hai there
I will be attending the University of Michigan this year

I know it's a slim possibility, but hopefully he can play right away. It's all hands on deck this year.
Baseless speculation, but I wonder if this has any effect on Derrick Green. He can't be too pleased to have another stud come in at his position. I know there was smoke around Green transferring out in the offseason, which was obviously not legitimized, but I can't help but wonder if this has Green hitting a sour note.
Not that I am anything but excited to get Isaac into this class. Absolutely great news.
If he's the better RB, all he has to do is prove it. He shouldn't be afraid of a little competition if he believes he truly is better.
Well, if Isaac has to sit out a year -- and this scenario seems most likely, given the rules -- the transfer shouldn't have much impact on Green. He already knew he'd very likely have other highly ranked backs coming in this year or next. He was fine when Harris committed. Now it looks as if Isaac may just be taking Harris's place. Granted, Isaac has a year's experience. But Harris is a phenom. Seems like a wash, more or less.
a) Green said he wasn't afraid of competition.
b) Michigan didn't take a running back in the 2014 class, so this isn't much different than if a stud freshman were arriving on campus. There's always going to be someone coming in and trying to take your job.

They seem like different styles, right? No one goes with one back anymore so I can see them both getting plenty of touches. Like Yeldon and Lacy under Nuss before.
It will also prolong their careers as long as they don't have major injuries.
Our O Line smokes Bama. Drops crack pipe and walks away. The comparisons at all are insane, and Green was rated higher. We need you O Line, do it boys!
Not sure there was a whole lot of merit to the rumors about green transferring.
Browsing opposing teams' boards, people are making it sound like he was unhappy with his PT his freshman year and had to be talked out of transferring. I'm assuming that's all speculative BS by know-it-alls?
Chat Sports started the rumor. Nuff said.
Somehow you must think that football players stop doing the compitition thingy once they get to MICHIGAN, and they get a free pass to the NFL.
If Green has any this is driving him to do extra reps in the weight room. They all get better and this helps the team.
Pick USC
Cats and cheese are some of the finer things this world has to offer.
Get yourself a dog, son.
Yeah, well, that's just like, your opninion, man.
Nah, man. That shit's science.
LIsten to Ron Swanson, the man knows all.
but I will tell ya...chicks dig guys men who like cats.
mode. When you say "chicks dig guys men who like cats", did you actually mean "cats"? Or, did you mean something else that is cute and fuzzy and is a playful name for a cat?
/S
I love cats.
I personally like hairless cats.
However, I HAVE learned to peacefully coexist with my older daughter's two cats. So, that has to be worth something.
I'm trying not to be giddy but am failing miserably.
I've been trying to think when it was that the last true home run hitter RB was in the UM backfield. Was it Ty Wheatley? Hmmmm, same first name as Isaac. Similar size, too. The Ty that binds. Awesome.
was Minor, and it sounds like he is somewhat comparible. There always seemed a little chaos when Minor had the ball, which was fun to watch. I'd take a comparible back if that is what we are getting.
I definetely don't remember the backfield being this big for a long time. (size of backs not quantity)
Isaac isn't quite as vicious of a runner, but he does have some of those same abilities because of his size. I compared Isaac to Eddie George when I did a scouting report on him. Eddie George wasn't an absolute bull, but he was big and fast, which seemed to work out well for him.
That's a bold comparison, which I'd gladly take, but I also saw the same comparison in Ace's hello post by someone.
I liked that I read he keeps his feet high. If he can avoid some of the arm tackles that can tend to trip up some of the taller backs, i'd be quite happy as well. Hopefully he can block. Seems to be one of the major deficiencies the backs had the last few years outside of Vincent Smith.
That person clearly stole the idea from me.
That person was me Magnus...no I did not steal your thoughts...I never read them before. So great minds think alike.
Actually the comparison is pretty obvious for anyone who saw George run....
He wasn't the greatest overall back, but was definitely a threat to take it to the house.
Ace is just waitin' hit that publish button on the Hello post he has in the achives
Poor Ace. He said on twitter that he thought he had a Ty Isaac Hello Post already done. Turns out it was for Bri'onte Dunn. Something tells me though, that Ace will be happy to work a little extra today. Welcome aboard, Ty!
If Bri'onte Dunn wanted to transfer I would also be fine with that.

Bless you for posting this! Also, if you sneezed recently.
As good as he might be, he will look terrible unless the O Line can make major strides
ding, ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!
The best thing that could happen to him is that he cannot play this year, but will play next year. By next year, our OL will be much more experienced, physical.
This year we will be terrible again upfront. Next year most likely average, 2 years, a strong unit FINALLY.
so it's nice that there are two of them ^^^ above this post.
THIS THREAD IS A CELEBRATION OF A NEW COMMIT. SAVE THE OL BASHING FOR ONE OF OUR MANY 'SKY IS FALLING' THREADS. I'm sure you won't have to wait long.
Hurry and get me to 100, cuz this guy needs my first upvote.
It's gotten to the point on this blog where whenever there's a thread about the football team, I just count the posts until the first one pops up that either:
1) Says X or Y will stop happening as soon as the team starts winning more games, or
2) States how bad our OL was last year.
They even have to pop up in a real positive subject thread like this. Sheesh.
Also means we don't absolutely need to land a blue-chip RB recruit this year. Would be nice regardless. But since this recruiting class is unusually small, maybe that spot can now go to a greater area of need.
i believe that the O line will make major strides now that this guy isn't the Offensive Coordinator anymore.
Idk man, he turned Bobby Boucher into a star. That has to count for something.
The line will be solid. I am convinced the talent is real and the scheme was the issue. These are kids running eight different blocking schemes and they were never on the same page. The line will be drilled to perfection over and over and over. Fast and tough execution. The future will be good.
Looks like it's official per Twitter. Welcome Ty! We're glad you took this do-over and went the right way this time around!
It's done RT @TyIsaac I will be attending the University of Michigan this year
