I'd rather have Izzo stay in EL. We know that we can beat them. Maybe they can find someone better maybe not but I think the status quo is pretty good for Michigan basketball. We've pretty much bested them in everything besides BTT tourny titles lately and our recruiting seems to be doing better than them.

If Izzo gets an offer, he should take it.  As long as he has to recruit against John Beilein, Tom Izzo isn't going to get as much talent as he has historically attracted to EL.  I detest all things Sparty, but Izzo did a great job with his team this year.

I think this is his last chance to maximize his market value.   If an offer comes from anyone in the NBA, he should take it before he is exposed as what he is: a decent college coach but not  the "legend" the media make him out to be.

I wonder why he was hired the second time anyway, other than desperation. He is either the first guy to get fired by the same owner twice or is in a group of very few people in the same boat.

Is going be very rich if he continues to sign multi-year contracts and then getting fired before the termination dates.

But never as successful at that game as Larry Brown.

Bleacher Report has it that tweets of Cavs may target some college coaches including Coach Beilein...No reason at all to worry as of now but when i read it i just gave a quick "Dont let that gain ANY steam please" and i am a Cavs fan ...but mainly because of Mark Price..However, Go Blue trumps all that

I believe that in repeated interviews dating back a few years, he's basically said that he has made his last move and would like to retire as the coach of the Michigan Wolverines basketball team, even saying that he figures he might have a decade or so left in him. I don't remember the exact quote, but I think that's more or less the gist of it. Having Beilein for nearly another decade would potentially lead to a nice little run - I would be absolutely floored if he said anything different.

understood why the NBA and NFL hire these "re-tread" coaches whom have failed miserably in the past. "Mike Brown went to the finals!" Yea, so could I as a coach of Lebron. Let's just give Mo Cheeks his 4th chance to suck instead of giving an up and coming assistant a shot.
