Michigan Baseball beats ohio 4-1, takes series 2-1
Great way to conclude the B1G regular season! Michigan finishes 13-11 and most likely will have the 5 seed in the B1G Tournament.
Michigan is now .500 on the season at 26-26-1.
Jamett gets an RBI single putting Michigan up 1-0.
Jamett then scores on a wild pitch with bases loaded.
2-0 Michigan headed to the 3rd inning.
Not sure why someone other than a troll would down vote this tread.
Seems like solid production from the bottom of the lineup early in the game
Jusick doubles and scores Cole Martin.
3-0 Michigan! Jusick now on 3rd after a wild pitch.
Would a win today clinch a playoff spot? Or did yesterday's won do that?
Michigan already clinched awhile ago.
Top-8 make it into the B1G Tournament. Today is the final B1G game of the season for Michigan.
Didn't realize they expanded to 8 teams this year. Cool
Glines bunt scores Maezes! 4-0 Michigan!
The one-hit wonders. ohio breaks up Adcock's no-hitter he through 5 innings.
Brett Adcock's start today was well earned. He's been stellar in long relief all season. He's certainly making the most of his first weekend and first Big Ten start. Adcock and Evan Hill are almost certain to be two of Michigan's weekend starters next season.
Nice work, lads - GO BLUE!
Great starting pitching all weekend for the Wolverines. Szkutnik, Hill, and Adcock all went at least 8 innings, and they collectively gave up just one run over 24.2 innings of work.
At 13-11, Michigan will most likely finish in 4th place in the Big Ten. Minnesota just beat Purdue to go to 11-9 and hold on to 4th place for now, but they have to play Indiana, the top Big Ten team, next weekend. Minnesota will have to win at least two out of the three games to finish 4th.
This isn't a big deal either way, as the 1, 4, 5, and 8 seeds will be placed in one of the two BTT brackets. So, it will be Michigan vs. Minnesota to open play, with the winner facing top-seeded Indiana in the second game (assuming Indiana wins its opening game).
EDIT: I had Minnesota's record wrong. They're now 12-9 on the season. They own the tiebreaker with Michigan, so they'll be the 4 seed unless Indiana sweeps Minnesota next week (which is a distinct possibility).
U-M is locked into the 4-5 game in the Big Ten Tournament. If Indiana sweeps Minnesota next week, we will be the 4 seed.

You can't, always get, what you want....
Good job Wolverines! Always nice to make buckeyes blue, in any and all sports!!
Yup. This is right. That's where we are now. They own M so badly in football that some people (not me) have to resort to mentioning other sports that don't matter. The only sports that matter REALLY are football and basketball. Hockey does to many people, but not nearly as many folks as football and basketball.
Who clicks on a baseball thread to only rip on those who click on a baseball thread? And who downvotes a Mom's Day thread?!?
Just a head's up, it's time to change the user name again. It's spring so it's time for "warm weather sucks" you joyless sap!
Then why do you come to every thread not involving Football or Basketball and neg it?
Get a life, troll.
INSTANT HIGHLIGHT: @umichbaseball win the second two games of the weekend series and beats Ohio State, 4-1. http://t.co/df1eWAbSSt

Someone always downvotes baseball/softball threads.
It's time for a negbang. Get to it.
And it's way past time for the mods here to do their job.

A hike to the Andes Mountains. I wonder if the snow sucks there, too...
and decided to take the athletic dept up on their offer to football season ticket holders for free tickets for today's baseball game. First Michigan baseball game I ever attended, and I have to tell you I was pleasantly surprised. What a great venue and great experience . My son and I really had a fun time. He got a sweet free t-shirt too, although a little big on his 11-year old frame. He'll grow into it. We will definitely return for another game next year. I highly recommend.
