Michigan Baseball takes down buckeyes, 5-1

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Evan Hill pitched a GREAT game. 8 innings scoreless. ohio tacked one on in the 9th when Cronenworth came in for the save.

Michigan is now 12-11 in the B1G. They've already clinched the B1G Tournament berth.

The deciding game of the series will be at Noon on BTN tomorrow.

Good crowd today—the largest in four years.

Highlights of the game have now been posted at mgoblue.com here.

That was not a save situation for Cronenworth, by the way.

Yes it is, but OSU's winning streak was only 5 games (including the game yesterday) because the teams didn't play last year and played only once in 2012. This was in fact the first time a Bakich-led Michigan team had played OSU.

How about this: Michigan's all-time record vs. OSU in baseball: 162-96-1.

Yesterday was my first home Michigan baseball game. The stadium was nice and it was a beautiful day. Bonus points for the band and Storm Trooper, who kept my daughter entertained.
