Michigan's last 5 first round draft picks-
- 2005- Braylon Edwards (Cleveland Browns #3)
- 2005- Marlin Jackson (Indianapolis Colts #29)
- 2007- Leon Hall (Cincinnati Bengals #18)
- 2008- Jake Long (Miami Dolphins #1)
- 2010- Brandon Graham (Philadelphia Eagles #13)
#77 is a great number for OTs here.
Two Titans-
The jersey number 77 is one of three that has been worn by five All-Americans in the history of Michigan, as I recall. In addition to Lewan, it has belonged to Jake Long, Jon Jansen, Paul Seymour and Arthur Walker. The other two numbers to be so honored are #72, one of which was Dierdorf, and perhaps not to anyone surprise, the other one is #1.
Congrats Taylor!
I thought Kovacs was #11...er ... was it #32? Can't remember...
post pics of various shirts, posters, hats, and other souvineers, I'm beginning to think you're not some high school kid, but instead make a living as a sales rep or marketing exec for some sports apparal company.
RDT got busted a lot quicker, though. Nice job keeping the smokescreen going for so long, "kid"!

I don't know about him but I'm David Brandon.
No really, I am!
that's a wise claim to make around here...
Did Tom Gholston go in the first round?
Nope. 4th rounder.
This is Lewan's reaction to him as well as mine towards the rest of the B1G having the first B1G draft pick.
Make Michigan proud!
Unbelievable stat RT @BruceFeldmanCFB: After producing 10 Top-10 picks from 03-08, the B1G has now gone 6 years without a Top-10 pick.
but CMU does
Ohio State is really the only team consistently producing great NFL talent right now. Embarassing, but not completely surprising
First pick from the B1G.
Why you screw uo trading for Taylor Lewan?
Now we just need Dennard to be left out of the first round and have MSU fans whine about no respect and how Roger goodell's keeping them down.
I am obsessed with ND, Ohio, and MSU and want them to do as bad as possible at everything. There's nothing wrong with that.
Since when is it bad to want our rivals to suck. I hope that our three rivals have nobody drafted in the first round which isn't going to happen now with Shazier and Martin. So sue me.
before a buckeye or Johnny Manzel
Wonder if Bortles to Jacksonville means anything for Denard.
Bortles is a similar type of developmental project who could end up playing running back eventually too. But I asked the question without hinting positive or negative. There's also a chance the Jaguars could be looking to build an offense that's loaded with versatility. It's just interesting to ponder, that's all.
Ha, I was -- thought he was the NIU guy, Jordan Lynch. Shows how much I've paid attention to football. I'll go back to the basketball threads where my head isn't in my ass, but I still think we should fire Al Borges.
Bortles would be a really big, kinda-slow RB.
If he doesn't work out at QB, then I'm not sure how you recover unless you pull a Matt Jones and try him out at WR/TE.
it means more for Chad Henne than Denard.
Obviously I agree now that I've figured it out, but there's not really too much to wonder about there.
in all you do
Good for him. Glad to see him go to a decent situation, and hopefully he'll continue the tradition of great UM tackles.
Adds to the legacy of Oline U.
I don't know what I like less about this evening: Ray Lewis waxing poetic about how much he loves the NFL when he used his league-earned fame to literally get away with murder, or Taylor Lewan proving you can punch dudes both on the field and outside the bar, intimidate a rape victim, and be live-tweeted pouring drinks behind a bar and being an asshole after a loss, and still be in line to be a newly-minted millionaire by this time next week.
