Jashon Cornell names MSU leader

Tom VanHaaren (@TomVH) tweeted at 6:44pm - 26 Apr 14: Five-star DE Jashon Cornell says Michigan Stat is his No. 1 school after his visit today (https://twitter.com/TomVH/status/460187799153426432) Not good. May not end up at MSU, but given his previous visits to us it would seem highly unlikely he ends up here - obviously didn't find what he was looking for here.

My question --

If Jashon Cornell naming MSU his leader today means that life is horrible, we'll never win another game, and MSU has permanently surpassed us, does Chris Clark naming Michigan his leader today mean that life is wonderful, we'll never lose another game, and we've permanently surpassed OSU?

Yes but I also remember how they had back-to-back 11 win seasons prior to that one and then a 13 win season with a Rose Bowl win - something Michigan hasn't done since 1997.

We need to stop pretending like MSU's football program isn't in way better shape right now than ours

That'll make me even happier when our mature o-line he'll face by the time he's there will show him how football is played at the collegiate level. Go Blue!

The State thing is a bit of a surprise, but if anyone should be really bummed about this, it should be Notre Dame. We, on the other hand, are sitting pretty with Darian Roseboro and Keiean Lucier-South, who happens to be ranked a spot ahead of Cornell on the 247 Composite WDE rankings.

Deep breaths.

Which is why I said hot dogs.  Eating a plate full of burgers wouldn't be that bad.

But seriously...I wouldn't really say we're sitting pretty or whatever with either KLS or Roseboro.  Roseboro is probably headed to the ACC or SEC and while it would seem Michigan is #2 for KLS, I'd be really surprised if he didn't pick UCLA.

Sam Webb just said this morning that the Roseboro family had a fantastic visit to campus, loved it more than they ever thought they would, and Sam says that in his opinion Michigan is "in the pole position" for Darian.

Darian is apparently going to be an early enrollee, and the decision is likely to be a summer decision.

Sam also confirmed the speculation I was reading over at Scout, that the UM coaches look at Cornell as a DT, and are concentrating their efforts on getting DEs.

I didnt say his mind wouldnt change this summer doofus.  I said "nothing on the field will change his mind"  between now and August.  I know reading comprehension is a 300 level course in South Bend but child please.  Whoever changes his mind has to make a case without any new football game results.

Thanks for the insult. But lets recap what you said as it related to my lack of reading comprehension.

He announced he is making his decision in late August so nothing on the field this fall will matter in his decision.

Quoted text verbatim. His decision is late August. But nothing on the field this fall will matter in his decision. While true, I find it hard to believe that UM going 13-0 won't sway his opinion if he chooses someone else in late August? And you did NOT say "nothing on the field will will change his mind between now and August. What you DID say was "nothing on the field this fall will matter in his decision". Perhaps you should attend some sort of remedial reading comprehension course your self? I hear the "General Studies" program at UM is phenomenal.
