How much pressure on Falk?

Submitted by blueblueblue on
How much pressure does the Martin announcement put on Jon Falk to take good care of our equipment? I really hope that due diligence is put into the search to find an AD that fits with the vision that Falk has for the upkeep and maintenance of our equipment, not to mention the Jug. [!grammar warning!] What we can't do is make a hire of someone who wants to put their own stamp on the Michigan football program in selecting their own equipment manager for the future, and find someone who stores the equipment in say, a different corner of the building, or who handles any Jugs any differently. We need a hire that is ALL IN for Michigan's equipment, and any Jugs associated in any way with Michigan football.

Let's not forget the pressure this puts on Red Berenson. What if this new AD comes in and decides it's time for a change in regimes since Michigan hasn't been to the Forzen Four in like two years or something.

Falk gets whats coming to him. I've been upset at the way the equipment has been managed as of late. I think with a new equipment manager we would have at least had 5 wins last year. And no way we would have lost to MSU this year in OT had Falk already been fired.

Man, Jon Falk spoke at my second Night of the Wolverine (one of the last nights of intensive summer band rehearsals, freshman get taken up to the stadium not knowing there their headed and there's a guest speaker. Incidentally, my freshman year Bo spoke), and told some amazing stories. With all due respect to a great man, Falk rivaled Bo in terms of entertainment and passion for Michigan. He's a badass :)

OMG HAZZZZING...I'm calling the FREEP!!! Obviously kidding, I had to write a paper in English 115 or whatever goofy numbers they use on hazing. I was given/chose the pro-hazing side of the argument which was fairly entertaining to write. Edit: I know that's not really even hazing. It just triggered the thought in my mind for some goofy reason.

I think the real pressure is on the Bongo Man. He can no longer use the rhyme*: We gonna win, cause we have Martin, Why don't you go home, you stupid Spartan He's building us all new arenas You play in trailers, look like they're from FEMA *Not actually a Bong Man rhyme.

Or its an entertaining joke on how many topics have been reposted here recently. The How Much Pressure on RichRod thread was just the tip of the iceberg for how many threads will be started on this topic in the next week. At least it didn't go down the road of the Joe Pa stabbed the UConn player one, which probably was distasteful but still a funny thread.

Who keeps the BenGay out of players' jocks. So far, so good--I don't see any reason to axe him. But there is some sort of Anti-Falk conspiracy, apparently being led by Lloyd Carr and Mike Gittleson because the first thing Falk did when Barwis came in was to cancel the revolving account with Domino's Pizza and Marlboro Cigarettes. Gittleson has been working secretly (with some help on the sidelines) to get new, slippery balls into the rotation on game day so Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson have trouble hanging onto their balls. The BASTARD!
