According to a Yahoo! piece on the same kid, he's got an eight-foot wingspan and wears a size 22 shoe. He also averaged 11.1 points, 5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in this past season, which seem a bit low for someone who is probably nearly a foot taller than most of the guys around him in the average game. They report also that his little brother, who is all of seven, is apparently already 5'9".

He wants to be a biochemist...What do you think?  He's a junior and relatively unknown to the recruiting sites.  Is he earmarked for Auburn?  Could Bacari and Sanderson turn him into Shaq?  You can't teach 7'5".

He's actually pretty athletic for a dude that tall.  He'll be on a D1 squad somewhere and if his knees don't fall to pieces likely be able to play in europe or even D league.  I think the NBA is a little out of reach though.  He's too slow.

Doesn't look like he moves very well, but it's not really necessary for him at the current level. Be interesting to see what he will do against other athletic big men in a few years, if he's still playing.

UM has a program in biochemistry, right?

In all honsesty, I can't think of very many basketball players who found overwhelming success if they are 7'3" or over, except for Yao Ming, however he didn't last long. I don't get why people freak out over these oversized players.

because he was the shortest guy on their basketball team.

Jokes aside, you can see he has horrible eye sight from the thickness of his glasses. I bet it wasn't until he actually came to the United States that he was finally able to see/focus clearly. God love this country.
