Uconn Player stabbed by Joe Paterno while talking about "TP miscast as a QB"
Hi folks, I just wanted you to all know that a Uconn player was stabbed. And Joe Paterno could have come to Michigan. Also, how bout that piped in music? Finally, did you know Tom Brady threw for 5 TD's in a quarter? Wowzer.

EDIT: All info in this post was related to the OP by 6 completely reliable players at or recently graduated from the University of Michigan football program.

I wish all news came in bunches like this.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:36 PM ^
Did this happen during the night game at Michigan when the team wore black unis...?
October 19th, 2009 at 8:38 PM ^
No, this was at the game where everyone was happy that David Cone played and the team wore yellow unis (or all white, I can't remember).
October 19th, 2009 at 8:36 PM ^
but I'm in (insert city) and I'm looking for a good bar to watch the game this Saturday, anyone got a suggestion for me? Thanks.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:37 PM ^
But what bar should I have watched the game at?

Would you rather take a fast ball to the dome-piece by Randy Johnson, in his prime, with no helmet? Or take a hit across the middle by Ed Reed while He is wearing fulll pads and you are stretched out for a ball and have no pass pads??
October 19th, 2009 at 8:40 PM ^
I'd personally rather trade for Eddie Royal.

It's one thing to just joke around about a player but to laugh it up about the death of Jasper Howard is classless on every level. I bet that wouldn't be your headline if say D.Warren got stabbed to death would it? The posts on this site get worse and worse by the day.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:44 PM ^
This is not making light of the fact that Howard was killed in a gruesome fashion; it is a commentary on the ridiculous number of people that have had double, triple, and even quadruple posts on the board.
October 20th, 2009 at 9:19 AM ^
you are way worse a poster than Belch (your signature) or anybody else who happened to double post. I am really surprised this has not been deleted by Brian or the other mods yet.
October 19th, 2009 at 10:00 PM ^
it is quite distasteful.
October 19th, 2009 at 10:41 PM ^
Glad to see others were on this before I could get here. Not cool man.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:40 PM ^
OT: Did you see the lions?
October 19th, 2009 at 8:42 PM ^
OH MAN THAT WAS CRAZY!
Discuss.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:45 PM ^
A young man died. You really need to grow up and have some respect for his family, teammates and friends.
Obviously -
1) you don't have children.
2) have never had a person close to you die (or worse yet, get killed before their time)
3) don't understand things that are much more important than ALL of this
PLEASE, refrain from taking something like this lightly.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:46 PM ^
Your sense of sarcasm has been surgically removed.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:49 PM ^
It is going to be a sad day when reality hits you.
On that day, I hope no one treats you the way you are treating the people who are affected by his tragic death right now.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:55 PM ^
1) I am not (find stronger synonyms for "not" in a thesaurus, if you must) making light of his death.
2) I am not (find stronger synonyms for "not" in a thesaurus, if you must) treating the people affected by his tragic death poorly.
3) I am not (you get the idea)thinking that you can detect sarcasm.
This is a post that is about people double-posting(and triple, and so forth) way the F too much this week.
October 20th, 2009 at 8:44 AM ^
That a UConn CB was also killed?
October 19th, 2009 at 8:48 PM ^
It had already been posted a dozen times. Nearly all of those threads were respectful. Lighten the fuck up.
October 19th, 2009 at 9:26 PM ^
I agree with the sheepman, it is never a good time to make light of such a tragic event. Kind of like no matter how many times Ohio State beats us - it's just never funny.
October 19th, 2009 at 8:58 PM ^
Clearly you have never worked in EMS or any other emergency setting
October 19th, 2009 at 8:46 PM ^
Denard should be a WR. With that kind of talent you need to get him on the field.
October 19th, 2009 at 11:51 PM ^
Hey I bet you didn't know that he is very fast and doesn't tie his shoelaces
October 19th, 2009 at 8:55 PM ^
The icing on the cake would be at the end of your headline saying "...6 current or former players say"
October 19th, 2009 at 8:58 PM ^
This post would have been funny if it didn't use the UCONN tragedy as part of the grouping. I know the intent was not there but it is still distasteful, especially this soon afterwards.
October 19th, 2009 at 9:06 PM ^
I have no idea why you were negged for saying that.
October 19th, 2009 at 9:15 PM ^
That's a nice tie you have there.
October 19th, 2009 at 9:09 PM ^
This looks like the proper place for my five thousand word essay defending Michigan's decision to schedule Delaware State.
October 19th, 2009 at 9:26 PM ^
on new road jerseys? Anyone heard anything?
October 19th, 2009 at 10:23 PM ^
The JoePa to Michigan post was not announcing this as new news. The post states that this was well known. It was asking what Michigan would have been like had he come. Commenting on that would take some thought, apparently an activity of which you are incapable. Your post on the UConn situation, on the other hand, is beyond reprehensible. I cannot even fathom how someone would choose to make light of it.

Tate's sling update : Has switched out of blue sling into more comfortable maize one. (Approximately 12:24 PM outside of the Union)
October 20th, 2009 at 12:57 AM ^
I get the point, but your inclusion of the UConn player's death is utterly tasteless and beyond reprehensible, as physics guy put it best. It's not even a matter of "too soon"; just don't. Ever.
Yeah, really funny:
There are no words. It's just awful.
October 20th, 2009 at 7:56 AM ^
I really wish this thread would get deleted - I can just imagine the other boards that are using this as more Michigan-hate fodder
October 20th, 2009 at 9:28 AM ^
It was created to poke fun of other posters, yet it's content is far more embarrassing to Mgoblog.
I'd be furious if this incident took place at Michigan, and later read these posts on another college's blog.
