Thank you, MGoBlog (Drinking thread)
So raise a glass, tells what your drinking, and please let me know if you have any recommendations for my next mix six.
Cheers!
Too lazy to go get water. Don't think I have any beer laying around. Air will have to suffice.
My beer drinking, and the wife suggested bells 2 hearted ale. I thought it was gross. Drinking lagunitas shut down ale now and love it (as an ale). Try that.
Vernors for me.
I like to let loose every once in awhile.
I actually found Vernors a while back (I live in South Florida and I rarely see it) so I bought a 12 pack. My wife HATED it. In fact, most of my in laws hated it except one brother in law who loved it. I gave up pop for lent, so maybe I'll look for some Vernors again at the end of next month. At least I know I get to drink it all.
Pour it in a tall glass on ice, and chuckle when the person drinking it sneezes.
Make a Boston Cooler and come back to me and tell me how much they hated it.
I've kept it relatively simple tonight and have switched off a bit between Leffe and Hoegaarden, so basically it is an all-Belgian night here. A good pairing with the analysis on TBS right now, which in Barkley's own parlance is quite "turrible" - great beer helps you smile at terrible analysis. Biding my time until tomorrow at 5 PM-ish at this point, but some pretty good basketball is helping me stay engaged this evening.

I like it! I spent the first decade of my career working for a Belgian company. This was long before Belgian beers could be picked up in most grocery stores in the U.S. Hoegaarden Witte became my absolute favorite along with Duvel.
If you ever come across it, Hoegaarden Brewery also makes a great beer called Verboden Vrucht (Forbidden Fruit). It has about 9% ABV so a couple of them are about all that's necessary to introduce you to the floor (or porcelain god). However, it's delicious and the alcohol well masked. Definitely worth a try.
Single barrel and a product of Buffalo Trace Distillery.
HEART IN MOUTH. What a save from Motte.
Just bog standard Coke over here.

Ferris alum here. That was a kick in the dick.
I need a posbang.
is what you like - not what someone else likes.
Same with bourbon or whiskey. I threw back some bourbon earlier and have red wine now.
Split a six of Founders Centennial IPA during the Dayton game. If you like the Two Hearted, you'd like this. I prefer Two Hearted, as do most people. Had a chance to get ahold of some Pliny the Elder tonight, and I'm still kicking myself for not going.
I actually looked for Founders because so many on here have talked about it, but I didn't see a single bottle. I will be sure to ask the next time I travel to the coast.
A couple Hop Bomber Pale Ales...and we'll see what else develops.
Oberon. It's a good night
Had to buy a newly released case of Oberon

Not a fan of two hearted. Friend of a friend let me have a new beer from the company that makes Fat Tire, and it was pretty solid.

I am casting sidelong glances at the Dragon's Milk though. One of my favorites. One of them might have to die for the cause tomorrow afternoon.

Sequana Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.
One of the founders of Brooklyn Brewery has an Op-Ed piece in the NY Times today about how archaic state franchise laws put small craft breweries at the mercy of powerful distributors in most states. Michigan is one of the few states to pass legislation to protect craft brewers.
Tomorrow is my 50th birthday, it will be Duchesse De Bourgogne Flemish red ale, Telegraf CDP, Gouges les Vaucrains, and a Michigan victory.

Shellback Rum and Coke....because, well, I am a Shellback. watching Frank Kaminski and Wisconsin makes it necessary to have a stronger brew. horny monk from Petosky Brewing Company fills the bill.

It's my birthday. I ran a half marathon and had a couple Yuenglings along with a couple shipyard monkey fist IPA's after the race. then went to Red Robin and had a couple Blue Moons and now working on a six pack of Abita Spring IPA. It's been a good birthday!

Not drinking tonight but last night I had a pretty good beer from a local brewery in Chicago, Flywheel from Metropolitan Brewing. Went great with a big juicy burger.

No one is in this thread, but I have managed to work my way through half a fifth of five o'clock gin. Mmm. Super cheap liquor for the win!

Working through various Christmas ales in the past week. Jolly Roger from Maritime, Ten Below from Scuttlebutt, Ebenezer from Bridgeport, Wassail from Full Sail, all Oregon/Washington beers, still have a big stash to work through, happy about that.

Bud light because I'm white trash, but hoping to get my hands on a habanero sculpin by Ballast Point when I leave here in a few.

after the last of this Oberon in front of me.
Get some solid sleep, then ROAD TRIPIN' to Indianapolis in the afternoon.
GO BLUE!!! (Michigan Blue, that is)
I'm not drinking but I am smoking some fine homegrown bud. Out of a brand new bong I bought myself the other day. I may switch to my vaporizer soon. Its had a gross taste though. I don't know how to fix it.
is the gross taste from the bud or the new piece?
Not from the bud, I tried boilng the glass piece to get all of the oils out of it, and it resulted in the shitty taste. I went to my local head shop yesterday to get a new glass piece for the vaporizer but they only sell whole units, not just the glass piece. Still shitty taste or not, that thing gets me stoned.
never tried weed, (I have problems with headaches and weed seems to be a big trigger for some reason) all this talk fascinates me. My brother is a big vapist (the big huge e-cig contraptions) and this sounds like him trying to perfect his "system" with his "tanks" and "burners" all the while disrespecting those dirty "analogs".

If you've never had it how do you know it causes your headaches?

Couple of miller lites last night. Anyone ever heard of it? Crisp, smooth finish, not too filling.
