That douche move is quintessential Jim Everitt.  He's an asshole.  When we played them back in 85/86 (can't remember the exact year) he walked down the tunnel right through the entire Michigan team as we prepared to take the field for warmups.  Coward Everitt was punching guys in the kidney's and back of the helmet as he plowed his way towards the field.

We beat the shit out of them so he got his just desserts, but I'll never forget what a chump he was.

The only way Beilein (or anyone else) could "sleep on Tennessee" would be if they turned off the TV, radio and internet for the week.  According to just about every talking head - Michigan will be very, very lucky to keep the ass-whipping we are surely going to get inside of 15 points.  

Tennessee is being built up as the "it" team right now by EVERYBODY.  I was listening to MadDog radio on the way last night and their analysists decided that Tennessee had the easiest road to the Final Four right now because the winner of Louisville/Kentucky will be too "spent" to to beat them in the Elite 8 game.  No mention of the possibility the mighty Volunteers could actually lose.  That wasnt even an option.

Beilein was also on with John Feinstein yesterday, and he revealed some interesting info about McGary's injury—that he might have had the surgery earlier, increasing the chance of his return late in the season. From an MLive article:

Speaking with CBS' John Feinstein on Monday, Beilein said the team was ready for McGary to undergo surgery in early November and prepared as such prior to that -- so when he ultimately did decide to get the procedure in December, the transition wasn't that difficult.

"We prepared plan B all through (the fall), he was out September, October, half of November. We were prepared for surgery maybe at the beginning of November, and (thought) maybe he'd be back at the end of the year," Beilein said. "But then he started playing pretty well, so we went back to playing the way we were before. So in the end, it eliminated the playing two bigs (which was the original plan).

"But we've got great character kids, and we put the team first."

Beilein was also on WTKA this morning (podcast) and gave his usual crafty response in regard to McGary's return:

after we beat Tennessee, is the narrative then going to change that now Louisville (or Kentucky) ought to be worried about playing Michigan? Cuz so far, over the past 2 tournaments, (and besides Wofford,) the pundits have for one reason or another picked M to lose every one. So far in that span, beilein & co. are 6-1 in games that they were supposed to lose. Not that I'm not nervous about playing Tennessee, but they have every reason to be scared to play M right now.

I have NO DOUBT that even if we win, the winner of the Kentucky/Louisville game will be favored and picked by everyone. If it is Kentucky, they will say, the most talented team in the country is playing their best ball and michgian can't keep up. If it is louisville, they will say we can't match up with them and wil lose like we did last year.

I feel like it's the team's profile as being a bunch of shooters instead of having a strong paint presence and banging down low like other successful teams do.  I know Morgan has stepped up, but they are still undersized at the 4 and pundits seem to believe it is easier to shut a shooter down than it is to stop a dominant post player.
