Wisconsin #21
Really? They've lost two straight games, and by double digits. The first team they lost to just lost to Purdue, and the second team they lost to only beat us by 2 points one week prior. This is a bit baffling to me, and I would appreciate any insight on their seemingly undeserved ranking.

Computer average is #14.
Who knows how the fuck they calculate shit. It really doesn't matter yet, it will work itself out eventually.

I just got done looking at the BCS rankings and I couldn't believe the Wisconsin ranking. They just lost at home by 10 and lost to OSU by a good amount the week before, am I missing something here? I'm enjoying Cincy at 5, it's nice to see a different Ohio team in the top 5 other than OSU.

I think it's a reasonable ranking, actually. Anyone who watched UW-OSU knows that, despite the final score, UW looked like the better team most of the game (OSU scored TDs on two interception returns and a kickoff). I didn't see their game against Iowa, but I believe it was tied going into the fourth quarter, so it wasn't an embarassment or anything.
OSU lost to Purdue, but that doesn't automatically mean they stink, anymore than USC losing to Washington means anything. Good teams can have off days.

usc is a good team that had an off day with a statue for a backup qb under center. osu has gotten progressively worse since the usc game, and it is obvious that IF things get better, tressell and pryor need to answer some big questions. i really don't know if osu is a good team; i am certain that usc is good at the very least.

Progressively worse is going a little far. After USC, OSU destroyed Toledo, Illinois and Indiana before looking much shakier the past two games.

Does opponents opponents matter at all in the computer formulas
because Wisco, by virtue of playing games with Fresno and OSU might get some push from the Cincy, Boise and USC numbers.
And by playing MSU and Iowa smaller boosts from Arizona and ND.
They directly get a SOS boost, even in losses, with the high rankings of Iowa and OSU.
But,if opponents opponents has no bearing, then neg bang away.

are just numbers anyway. They have looked good against some teams but horrible against others and just escaped with a win, so it's not all that shocking to see Wisconsin ranked. Who cares what their ranked anyway, when we go to camp randall and stomp their asses they won't be ranked anymore.

Didn't see this coming? Wisconsin? They lost to Ohio State and Iowa?! Why are they ranked? Seriously what have they done to be in the BCS?
