Moderator Action Sticky #3
Hello. The previous mod action sticky was cumbrously long so this is a new one. What this thread is for:
This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.
NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.
Update: There's now a Mod Action Sticky IV.

I was talking about linking to one of his columns in an existing thread.
Izzo's Post Game Interview Excuses?
I believe it is safe to say that the tribe spoke on this one, and although I know the OP was trying to be funny, I think this one is much too derailed at this point to meaningfully salvage.
From the Spartans' Facebook page; the "Afghan widow" fan.
Sigh.
Michigan State may have won
Now at 20 downvotes, it might be safe to say that this one probably will not get much better. Also, with the lack of anything to realyl go on from the OP, it won't produce much in the way of constructive discussion.
Official Time - Michigan vs. Wofford @ 7:10pm EST
This was just a few posts above the original mention. There is also a link to the bracket form of the TV schedule in that thread which is currently up-to-date, so this thread could probably stand to go.

MODS - please ERASE Random Speculation about Bama 5th Year Center Chad Lindsay Transferring
Although this was brought up the other day, to its credit, it is much more detailed. If the OP wishes, I can move some this detail over there or if there is a call for it, I will restore this one (I have bookmarked it).
Looks like Josh Rosen Sticking with UCLA
As others pointed out, this was already covered in the Roundup on the front page, so we'll take this down. That being said, I know that I catch up on the board before the front page sometimes, so I actually found out here first before reading the roundup myself. Happens.
Bindfold Brackets 2014
This was still on the first page of threads, so it will come down, but I would recommend the Blindfold Brackets if you've not tried them. It's actually a pretty interesting exercise.
Narduzzi tweets: "That's healthy Spartan Basketball. Other two games are a fluke."
I know I might take flack for this one, but I know it has been mentioned before - the level of interest in what Spartan coaches say about Michigan athletics on the blog should generally be quite low. That, and I really don't know if we should invest too much in the hoops opinions of Pat Narduzzi unless he's found a way to incorporate the A-gap blitz into MSU's defense on the court.
Narduzzi tweet thread
See above for the answer, but thanks to other MGoBloggers for reiterating it.
"the level of interest in what Spartan coaches say about Michigan athletics on the blog should generally be quite low."
Feels like mod abuse to me.
Lighten up, buttercup.
There was no lack of interest. The replies were flying and I saw a number pretty damned good replies to NarMutt.

Yeah, relevant or not, some threads never have a chance.

What's a matter? Can't handle anyone talking bad about your Supreme Leader Barack HUSSEIN Obummer?
/FreeP comments section.
I was joking, please don't nuke me to Bolivia.
/send the drones
Please see comments #57 and #62 in the Lewan thread in which a certain user writes, "Oh go fuck yourself you stupid whining asshole," and, "And fuck yourself again, for good measure." What does it take for that user to get the banhammer? He's recently back from Bolivia and apparently didn't learn a thing from the trip.
I left the comments as evidence in this case as he is...was actually....a longtime MGoBlogger, but yeah, he was in no position - no one is really - to run his mouth like that after his most recent expedition to Bolivia. I am sure he'll create another account and do something akin to the "Ghost Of" routine, but as of right now, Section 1 is blocked from creating further posts of any kind.
It finally happened...
Who got the scalp?
I did too somehow (I've been away from the board too long). It's about damn time though.
Section 1
DOOK and Mercer
I think we'll go with one thread about this game, although double the schadenfreude was tempting in the case of Duke.
I recently posted a thread on Purdue Basketball and recieved suggestions to move it to diaries. I was wondering if you could do that. Thanks.
not going to end well.
I've decided that Chris Webber...
It had 30 downvotes, and I really was not sure where it was going or why it might be important, so it will come down, I think. I was expecting something a little more biting, if you will, than a decision that Chris Webber is not sincere in his wishes to eat at Burger King
/terrible pun, shows self out
we should use DT to denote drunken threads?

Dances with Wolverines - Michigan's 2014 Roster in movies.
This one already made it to the board this morning, but do check it out as it is pretty cool. Make sure you thank B Mo Glue, the user who created them.
Mitch McGary is dressing tonight vs. Tennessee
There is already a thread discussing this and the discussion is already taking off in that thread. Very interesting, even if we will not see him in action this evening.
Sparty Schadenfreude
I don't think that this went the way that the OP had planned at 38 downvotes, so I assume that I won't hear much in the way of complaints if I took it down now. That, and I don't know if we can really have such a thread when MSU also made it to the Elite Eight.

Michigan Baseball knocks off Iowa 4-2
Although this was the first thread, the one above it covered the same information as well as additional detail plus a pretty cool highlight, so we'll stick with that one. No offense meant to the OP in this case.
They must have been posted about a minute apart because I did double-check the board before pressing save.
Devin Funchess Tears Achilles
Even though it is April 1st, I am not sure if this is the most responsible sort of prank thread that we could have in space since it is regarding a non-existent injury. There are definitely more tasteful ways to do this - that much I know.
New Oregon Football Performance Center Photos
Removed at poster's request, but yes, this was discussed when the building was first unveiled last year. As I recall, there was something almost "1984" about the press conference / team meeting room.
McDowell actually signs with MSU
It was a few posts below this one actually, but as others have mentioned, how this relationship develops at MSU will be interesting because of some of things that happened which created this lengthy delay.
Didn't mean to make work for you guys Sunday night. Figured the community would kind of ignore the topic if they didn't care about it, and it's the offseason and the like.
On this note, can it be a Boliviable offense to go into threads about things you don't like and shit on them? If that isn't trolling, I don't know what is. I can think of a couple people who have this bad habit and could stand to be disabused of it.
It would be hard to catch every instance in a place like MGoBlog, but yeah, after a few things that have happened in the last week or so, it might be time to consider the habitual and notorious instances (i.e., being rude or insulting basically) of dumping on threads simply because of one's disinterest in the topic a respect issue and therefore something that could get folks dinged if caught.
Now, to address something that Bando Calrissian mentioned in the Tigers thread, I wouldn't expect that it would happen very often, but if there is significant news or something going on which requires considerable coverage / discussion, we can definitely look at prioritizing threads. If it ends up being like last year, by May it seems like there is perhaps one for every other game or so, and of course, as the end of August approaches, they will probably disappear in the flurry of football coverage.
I don't expect you guys to catch most stuff, and I've been around here long enough that a guy being a bit of a jerk doesn't mean much to me. I was surprised it escalated to name-calling and other questionable commenting as quickly as it did, but so be it.
Thanks for keeping this place pretty civil.
As for the Tiger threads, I suspect that will die down as the season progresses, save for the random Chicago or Cleveland games when someone wants to crow about it.
If you're going to espouse hate and bigtory through the guise of your religion, then I think those posts should be left up and the people attacking the posts shouldn't have their posts removed. If you're going to put forth a position, you should be prepared to defend it like any other assertion. Religion shoudn't get special treatment -- if you don't want the merits of your religion debated, don't interject into conversation.
My 2 cents is, I have no problem having the merits of my religion debated, even though this site is clearly not the place for such discussion. I have a problem with people deriding my beliefs when they don't understand them. If I wrote that all people who believe X are idiots/haters, you'd probably call me narrow minded. You don't seem to have the same issue when you throw all Christians into a barrel and open fire.

Meet the Bag Man...How to buy College Football players. SBNation report
It is a fascinating read if not entirely shocking, but it is still on the first page of threads as well as in a front page story on the blog.
