The fact that he got into a huddle and managed to get that close to Coach K is awesome somehow. Well done, sir. The topper really would be if it was in fact John Swofford that took the photo of him in front of the ACC trophy.

That was an enjoyable, amusing read. Thanks for that.

...on Christmas Eve a few years back, when I snuck into the stadium. That was fun. Fence was loose as the did construction or something around the Crisler side. So if you want to get in just sneak in on Christmas Eve and stay there until the first game in September. Bring lots of snacks.

...I guess all the security is focused on the perimeter of events these days.  But still, I can't help but think of the Monica Seles incident and worry about how easy it'f be for a crazed fan to hurt somebody.

I'm glad he didn't get in serious trouble. That's awesome. But let's hope this doesn't lead to a lot more people trying to do this. That is a serious security issue.

A buddy and I each took a girl to the thanksgiving parade in Detroit. After walking what seemed like the entire route to find a spot to watch, we noticed how easy it would be to walk the parade. The next year, we dressed up like clowns, bought $20 each of candy at the bulk candy spots in the grocery stores, went to the beginning of the parade site and stood by a big float. With a couple minutes before the parade started, these two guys came up to us, they had on orange vests which showed they were parade officials. We thought we were busted for sure. They ended up asking us, do you guys know where float 152 is or something like that. They asked us for directions! So yup, I endorse the theory of, if you look the part, people will follow. And yes, my mom still has the vhs tape of the parade which shows the both of us walking and throwing candy. Apparently we stationed ourselves in front of the Art Van float, Paul Bunyan and his ox, which happened to be one of the biggest sponsors of the parade which assured them the most tv exposure. So yup, the bigger the lie, the easier it is believed....

I made a pretty official looking ID badge to make me appear to be a photographer for a Michigan campus newspaper. Got on the floor, below the basket, at a Wisky basketball game (was it the Kohl Center back then?). Got some nice shots of Gary Grant and Antoine "the Judge" Joubert.
