Impressions of defensive newcomers?

I couldn't follow the game on TV today - any thoughts on some of our young defensive players? I was happy to see that JB Fitzgerald was our leading tackler.

But the competition was not the best, so performance today should be taken with a grain of salt, but nonetheless, good to see the backups play. Go Blue!

Hard to tell from where I was sitting, but I thought I saw Fitzgerald slam right into O linemen a lot - the same problem he was having last time he got PT. I'm hoping I'm wrong, I do remember him making one really nice fill on a 3rd down.

Fitzgerald made a lot of tackles, but didn't really make any great plays. In general, your inside linebackers are going to make the most tackles. Since he played more than any other ILB...there you go.
