And he knows it!
March 14th, 2014 at 10:53 PM ^
Why. This may help land the next Brady.
March 14th, 2014 at 10:53 PM ^
Make it official man.
March 15th, 2014 at 10:00 AM ^
A very good number!
March 14th, 2014 at 10:58 PM ^
Kid just looks like a winner in that jersey!
March 14th, 2014 at 10:59 PM ^
Let's just call him B.A.M.F for short.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:00 PM ^
Is looking softer and softer, perhaps even flaccid.
LoL flaccid, I love that word.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:00 PM ^
I think that boy needs a big steak and a dozen eggs.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
I think Tom Brady is great, but If that's the body of a soon to be professional athlete, I'm revamping my status of being old and out of shape.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:35 PM ^
That's a legit photo. He looked like that coming out of M.
March 15th, 2014 at 12:07 AM ^
Yeah, and watch him run.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:01 PM ^
The weather in California totally sucks compared to here
March 14th, 2014 at 11:03 PM ^
And we have clean drinking water.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:27 PM ^
We have clean bottled water. There are problems with California, but access to potable water is not one of them.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:30 PM ^
Not yet anyway...
Have you read much lately about hay farmers outside the LA area and north of there?
March 15th, 2014 at 12:19 AM ^
Oh, we're in need of precipitation for sure, so farmers (and people who run ski resorts) are having a rough time. But Costco still sells cases of bottled water so I'm good.
March 15th, 2014 at 12:34 AM ^
So we're fine.
As long as you're fine then you shouldn't be concerned about millions of other people. selfish prick
March 15th, 2014 at 12:41 PM ^
That might not be exactly what we're saying.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
He's from Maryland.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:26 PM ^
And committed to USC.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:36 PM ^
because you're right - even if accidentally. I thought this was Josh Rosen without thinking about it, I just accidentally made sense
March 14th, 2014 at 11:13 PM ^
let's see Kyle Kearns and Josh Rosen in it too.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:14 PM ^
could be....cousins.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:43 PM ^
LeBron James and Kevin James could be cousins too.
March 14th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
Shit!! Looks like he's pushing Shane right on out
March 14th, 2014 at 11:23 PM ^
Granted, MaxPreps doesn't always have comprehensive season stats, but in addition to the fact that the colors suit him somehow, if we are getting the 226 YPG and 111 QB rating (using the NFL calculation, which is not the NCAA one) as well as a 64% or so completion percentage, then I believe that you have to say something along the lines of "Yes, I am interested..."
March 14th, 2014 at 11:23 PM ^
Sills or Town? I'd take either of these recruits. Red shirt them, then groom them for taking over in 2018!
March 14th, 2014 at 11:28 PM ^
To Michigan? I don't think Town will be coming here anytime soon.
March 15th, 2014 at 12:03 AM ^
Don't want.
I think we're all just a little too Hello: commit hungry; we've got better QB prospects still on the board.
Hope Sills enjoyed his visit, though.
March 15th, 2014 at 12:06 AM ^
He really wants him to commit, or "let's keep talking and see how your next season goes."?
March 15th, 2014 at 12:20 AM ^
I would rather have Rosen than Sills and if he were to commit to us well then doesn't that seem to rule out the other Quarterbacks from coming here? There seems to be better options out there according to a few guys here on the blog with good eyes for talent.
While we're recruiting Sills, that doesn't mean the coaches are ready to take his commitment. I can't imagine a scenario where he commits and they tell Rosen during his visit that his spot has been taken.
March 15th, 2014 at 12:54 AM ^
My general thought is: if an offered kid come takes an unofficial from out of state and wants to commit, we shouldn't be worried about the rest of our offer board, we should just be happy that we're snagging a kid from USC with VT and Clemson and WVU offers.
March 15th, 2014 at 12:54 AM ^
Vanilla Ice
in Maize and Blue is worth at least two Rosens in California.
That looks like you Coach Brown.
I have come to value dual threat quarterbacks more so than the traditional pocket passer. Very hopeful nuss narrows in on at least one dual threat.
Looks like Chad. Different logos and swankier locker room.
Is there some pressure to take this kid just to keep the pipeline open to his dad's school? Not that he is a 2 star or anything but seems like there are some higher rated guys we have offered.
I don't think so. The "pipeline" is already "open" with Canteen and Watson. I think he was offered because Borges genuinely thought he could use him at quarterback AND because the presence of his teammates might attract him to Ann Arbor. If Canteen hadn't committed, I kind of doubt we would have gone after Sills.
But all the higher rated guys we've offered are either committed elsewhere or likely to commit elsewhere, so I'm not really sure I understand your point. It seems like you're suggesting that the coaches shouldn't have invited him to campus because he's not the #1 target. If you make a habit of doing that, you're going to get screwed.
March 15th, 2014 at 11:22 AM ^
Thanks Magnus. I thought he was high on Borges' list but maybe not so with Nuss so my point was that maybe Hoke felt pressure to not pull the "Borges" offer. I do agree you cant wait around for the #1 guy on your list, just wasnt sure how Nuss felt about him.
March 15th, 2014 at 11:33 AM ^
Great points Magnus. Some of these comments frustrate me to no end. The kid is a 4* QB and had enough talent as 13 year old to land a scholarship offer from USC. I get that was a long time ago and sometimes people don't develop but this kid is still a pretty good QB. Guess we should have told Speight you're star ranking isn't good enough so we're going to hold out for the big 5* that has a 10% chance of committing here. Looks like the staff knew what they were doing there allowing a "lowly 3* star" to commit so early. I wish all you arm chair recruiting experts would knock it off, if the coaching staff brings this kid in I trust they know what they are doing.
March 16th, 2014 at 11:05 AM ^
Maybe you should read what I asked; Not sure where I claimed to be a recruiting expert. My point wasnt we dont want the commit because higher rated guys were offered and we should wait around for them. My point if you read it was I didnt think Nuss was that high on Sills versus what Borges thought.
March 15th, 2014 at 10:52 AM ^
Why offer someone if you don't want them to commit?
March 15th, 2014 at 11:25 AM ^
Sills was offered by Al Borges.
March 15th, 2014 at 11:50 AM ^
Sills never spoke with Al Borges. The scholarship offer was extended personally by Coach Hoke back in December.
March 15th, 2014 at 11:58 AM ^
That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that Sills was offered during Al Borges's tenure, meaning that if Nussmeier didn't want Sills to commit, we're not exactly going back on our word. There's a different offensive coordinator in place than there was when the original offer was extended.
