Mgoblog and Brian go nationwide!!!
While reading the usa Today this morning, I discovered something that hit home. On page 3C Under the forecast heading, Mr. Armen Terjimanian writes about coaches on the hot seat. It' s really about these fans that are ready to cut a coach for a bad year, or game. As I continued to read towards the end of the article I discover this.........
"Mgoblog's Brian thinks the fire coach sites, especially those for schools that have won National Titles in the last few years, are just a cry for attention. "they know the media will give them free publicity", Brian wrote"
So with people wanting Brian to get hired on With the Ann Arbor news, wait a second. He might be more suited for the National stage. The USA Today needs to hire Brian , if their going to use his work.( Though I'd rather be selfish and keep you for ourselves)
Finishing, I just want to thank you Brian for your insight and hard work on this sight. We all know how good your work is, and now it seems the nation is getting to see it too. CONGRATS my hard working fellow " Michigan Man" you deserve it !!!!!
HAIL TO THE VICTORS!!! In this case Brian.

and, IMO, those papers need people like Brian. Journalists today seem to lack integrity, or at least the ability to fact check.
Brian does a good job of laying it out there like it is, and making me want to read about it, whether it's painful or not. That used to be what journalists did. Not so much anymore.

There's no more one monolithic "media" than there is one monolithic "blogosphere." Some newspapers will go out of business, as will some TV news stations. But the good ones will remain, and they'll be shaped by the demands of the consumers. Newspapers and traditional media aren't going away any more than they were when the telegraph, telephone, radio, or television were invented. They'll simply change forms.

Not like this writer needs to defend himself, but just want to clarify what I do.
Those articles I'm writing are with the motive of scouring the web and blogs to see what the buzz is for that week. It's sort of a blog post for the written newspaper to put it simply (page 3c in the paper). Trust me, if I could be writing stuff with legit sources, I would. But of course, boss pulls strings, puppet moves with limited movement on his own, ya know.
