title says it all. good to see him sticking around the league
They'll want him to stick around and mentor the QB they draft in April. Gabbert is good as gone
Keep gettin' dem checks, Chad!
I know everybody outside of the Michigan fan base rips on Chad Henne but he really is one of the best backup quarterbacks in the league. I kind of wanted him to go to an NFL team with a decent OL line though, just so he could have a Drew Brees-like comeback story.
That'll put him what at 9 years in the NFL with a few multi million dollar contracts? I say that is excelent. Kudos, Chad.
BTW I was impressed seeing he threw for 3000+ last year. Good for him.
numbers rise significantly? Don't know much about that team or whether Clowney can be assumed to contribute big right away, but it sounds like Henne really settled to business down during the second half of last year. Would love to see him show up big and prove the nay-sayers wrong.
But Clowney plays defense, he wouldn't "protect" Henne.
Unless they go out drinking together.
Even better would be drinking with Plaxico Burress.
Plax seems a bigger danger to himself and his crew than any potential attackers. As for Clowney, maybe he's planning on moonlighting as a guard? TE?
Are you proposing that Clowney play offense?
That would be fun to watch actually.
Go home, you're drunk.
opting for Clowney in the draft, immediately thought of the Outback Bowl and how great it would have been to have some protection. The brain fart continued from there.
It's not that Henne is a bad quarterback, it's just that he never landed on teams that were set up to win. Kind of like Elvis Grbac's NFL career
If only Chad could find some dreaded, really fast, elusive guy to hand the ball to. Anybody know of anyone who fits that bill?
It's not a knock at all when I say he could have a long career as a very servicable back-up. He can be brought in when the starter gets injured without the team missing much. Or, he's good enought for the team he's with to draft/start a first round hot shot QB with the confidence they can bring in Henne at any point should the rookie fail.
And - don't miss this - he is good enought to start. As stated above, I'm not knocking him.
Time to break out my "Henne Given Sunday" shirt again!
Congrats, Chad.
Clown Sauce, who is your avi?
Jacksonville is painful to watch but I tried to find them every weekend to watch Henne.
Would love for them to draft another position or trade down and plug a few of the many holes they have.
