#4 SB looses to #3 UCLA in 8 Innings; Besta Shines

The #4 SB Team #37 lost to #3 UCLA today 4-1 in 8 Innings.  Megan was the starting and losing pitcher but she pitched very well.

Through 7 complete innings, Meghan had only given up one run (HR).  The wheels came off in the bottom of the 8 when UCLA put up 3 runs via the long ball.  Megan finished with 4 ER off 6 hits; she had 9 Ks and 1 BB.

The offense was kept in check my UCLA pitching by only getting 5  hits.  The only run was driven in by Taylor who was pinch hitting.  We struck out 5 times and only walked twice.

UCLA led most of the game until the Top of the 7th when we scored a run to tie the game.  UCLA's walk off came in the bottom of the 8th.

Overall, a loss is never a good thing.  However, Megan proved that she can hang with the B1G Dogs.  Nice Job Megan.
