C'mon... I enjoy ragging on Izzo as much as the next guy but he's not an idiot - which he'd have to be to coach the tire fire that is the Pistons. Even if he's playing second fiddle to us, it's not like MSU is going to be a complete wasteland next year. (In terms of basketball, not upholstery, I mean)

We lost our best player (a preseason All American) for the whole season and nobody here is making excuses.

Well first, we already are using backup big men. People just forget they were backups behind McGary because they're actually pretty solid. Izzo recruits and develops his bench. Maybe if he didn't go all in on Jabari Parker he would have a nice guy to play upfront or on the wing.
Plus, if Michigan was without LeVert or Stauskas, we would play the 5* recruit sitting on our bench: Zak Irvin. I'm not saying that MSU's injuries aren't real, but it's the coach's fault if he doesn't have solid depth to step in and play.

like music to my ears. Although I don't expect them to be quiet for long' they'll start yapping right around the B1G tourney and once again it will all be Bullbutt droppings. I can't wait to turn on Mike Don Rickels Valenti and hear the mountain of excuses he will throw against the wall and see if they stick. You got to love Izzo pounding his fist on the throne of excuse after thinking that if this (basketball) is not a rivelry then their football team is not a rilvary with UM.
