Honestly, pretty definitive wins in both games.  Crazy how things have changed.

Also, will MSU fans stop talking about Appling's wrist injury?  I'm sure he's hurt, but at some point you have to stop slapping the floor and either sit him for a couple of games (and not have him play against Georgetown for 38 minutes) or stop using it as an excuse for this team scuttling.  What's Harris's excuse?

What a great win for Michigan. This team continues to fight and do us Proud. Great day to be a Michigan Man :)

not having a healthy Payne was the only reason UM won in E.L. When he returned, MSU would beat Michigan by 30 in AA.

Now that Michigan has won again, it was Dawson's injury that provided the Wolverines a win.

You know....because Dawson is like LeBron but only more awesome-er.

I wonder what that whiny little shit izzo's excuse will be now.

You had your love child, payne, and you STILL lost. Oh, and it was by MORE than when you didn't have him!

denzel valentine is a punk who likes to talk trash 6 minutes into the game. russell byrd is still a scrub player and likes to punch Michigan logos because he can't play with Michigan.

3 in a row.

6 of the last 8.

Oh, and even if sparty makes the Final Four (they won't), their little final four streak will live, but a new streak was born on 1/25/2014. Oh yes. Senior classes at state who will leave with a LOSING record against Michigan.

izzo is now 6-6 against John Beilein and has been swept by Beilein TWICE in four years.

Make all the excuses you want, state. Facts are facts.

He's one of the most classless coaches in all of sports. It's too bad many people kiss his *** in the media (and even on this board at times).

he even experienced an official crew that hosed MSU - hope they play at Cameron in the near future.

Way to go Blue. Absolute dominance after the slow start and Izzo knew they were punished enough with 90 seconds left.

TKO.

"shut up you little boys. We are still the premier sports program in the country. How many people would be happy with top 3 in fball and bball?"

One Rose Bowl and top five football finish and that makes you THE PREMIER sports program in the country. Let's ask Stanford, Michigan, and even OSU what that means.

Anyone else think this might be the best MSU basketball team we see in the next few years?  Harris is a top 10 pick on several mock drafts, and would be crazy not to leave for the NBA.  They lose Payne/Appling to graduation.  Their 2013/14 recruiting classes don't have a Gary Harris like difference maker either.  This may be Izzo's best year to move on.

Enjoy the win and move on we've got a trip to west Lafayette against a team desperate for a win they have got to be focused. Honestly there is no excuse not to sweep the last 4 games I would be disappointed if they didn't. GO BLUE SWEEP!

What I love most of this win is tht when we swept them in 2010 the argument was that MSU wasn't very good and granted they weren't. Many UM fans wanted to sweep a good MSU team. Beilein has beatn them 6 of the last 8 meetings, he's developing talent to send to the NBA, he's winning games that count ie final fours, and he's out recruiting them as well. Nuff said!

2011 was the other sweep.  2010 was the last time we lost to them at Crisler, when we missed the tip-in at the buzzer.  (Even then, Beilein outcoached Izzo - his crappy team took Izzo's Final Four-bound team right to the wire, and he drew up a beautiful play for the final shot, but it missed.)

Remember how Russell Byrd was talking junk after the last game, saying how this one was going to be totally different?

The dude chipped in zero points and played sieve-like D on LeVert.
