Pro Day Coverage
Does anyone know if coverage of tomorrow's Pro Day will be available on TV or via live stream? With so many players in the mix, guessing it will heavily attended. Always fun to see what coaches are there and working with player groups. Would be fun to watch on a Friday AM.
Apparently Wilton Speight will be coming back to Michigan to throw at our Pro Day, per Harbaugh on his podcast.
Pro Day is also closed to the public so it may not be televised or streamed.
Wondering how many people are streaming the B10 tourny at work today?
I know i will be
Might tune in after half of the IU/OSU game just to watch OSU lose

Wilton is throwing because UM has no draft eligible QBs to throw to the receivers per Harbaugh

I like it. Beats having some random regional guy throw to Gentry and Higdon.
Ouch.
If they were smart, the other Big10 teams would hire Wilton to throw to their Corners and Safeties since that's what he seems to be best at.
Here's hoping that Gentry improves his numbers today.
If he doesn't, will go from top of 2019 TE depth chart to UDFA! Regardless, with his size, someone will take a flyer on him in 6th or 7th round, then likely try to slide onto practice roster.

I still wouldn't be shocked if Gentry goes a bit higher than that. Not saying he will, but you can't teach size and he's still new to the position so you can project further growth. He said he liked what he heard when they submitted his name to the draft committee FWIW.
Doing well tomorrow would help him for sure. Scouts get to work him out directly which is a bigger opportunity than incrementally better times anyway.

While you can’t teach size, you also seemingly can’t teach speed, blocking, or catching.

Why do you feel the need to shit talk the dude? Genuinely curious.
This comment isn't particularly mean spirited but a lot of the Gentry comments/tweets are. I wish he played better vs OSU too but I'm frankly embarrassed by how some Michigan fans talk about him.
If you don't like the dude, he graduated and is gone. Rooting for him to fail is just being a dick for no reason. It doesn't benefit you in any way.
At the very least it's good for Michigan football (a thing people on here presumably want to succeed) for him to do well.
Rooting for him to fail? Odd take!
He wasn't ready to leave and it is kind-of funny and sad. He needed another year.
So it's just "funny" if things go poorly for him? That's a difference without distinction.
Why are you so quick to defend a guy who abandoned his team to be a UDFA?
There's a difference between "I don't think he's good" sentiment and "fuck that guy" sentiment. I'm against the latter.
And going pro early is abandoning your team now? What?
It is if you're not actually going to be a pro.
Man crush.
That's an odd take on a guy who averaged 17.8 and 16.1 yards per catch over the past two seasons, along with catching 49 passes in that span. The guy had a couple drops late in the season, and that seems to have really colored a lot of people's opinions. There's a whole lot of recency bias going on there.
Did you ever look up his correct combine results, or are you still spouting bullshit?
you must be a South Pole elf!
Even worse, recency bias being spouted by recently-joined shitposters. Take a look at the join dates of all the Gentry-haters arguing with you and OwenGoBlue. Every single one of them with join dates of 2018 and 2019.
I think this blog took a wrong turn last year when version 3.0 replaced 2.0 and the voting system changed. We (AND the mods) need to see both the upvotes and the downvotes that MGoPosters receive for what they post, not just the net difference.
The pipeline to Bolivia needs to be reopened before this place gets any more like RCMB and/or the MLive comments section than it already is.
Yeah, it's very surprising to me that so much of this has not been fixed. At this point it just seems like we're going to have to settle for the site being broken, just like we had to deal with 2.0 being broken for several years (for example, being unable to open page 2 of the MGoBoard).
Given the Harbaugh offense... that sounds just about what I'd expect to get from "Random Walk on TE off the street".
Sean McKeon has averaged 8.7 and 9.7 yards per catch over the past two years on 45 receptions. Butt averaged 11.9 and 12.8 yards per catch under Harbaugh.
Gentry is the most explosive primary TE Jim Harbaugh has ever had at either Michigan or Stanford.

Still can’t believe he left early.

Woodson? Henson? Peppers?
What a bizarre comment.
I truly hope that you aren’t insinuating that Gentry is an equal talent as Woodson, Henson and Peppers. Better comparison would be Devin Funchess…and thats a stretch
He's clearly poking fun at the fact UofM626 forgot to put a subject in his sentence.
ah! in that case, Dad? :(

It looks like Rashan Gary is falling in mock drafts. I saw two where he is now out of the top 15. This all after the combine.
ProFootballFocus did a 1st round mock where they say what they think "should be" not what they think "will be". Rashan Gary is not even in that 1st round. And he is not in their top 6 EDGE. But Chase Winovich is at #2 EDGE, ahead of Montez Sweat.
Maybe the Lions can snag him in the second round.
I don't know if you're joking. I don't think he's going to be taken in the top 10. But I don't think he'll fall all the way to the 2nd round.
Do you think he belongs at DT instead of DE? That seems to be going around a lot. Do you agree?
There was a lot of talk that Jon Gruden wants him, and will take him at #4. But that talk is gone now. Now the talk is they will move up to get Kyler Murray. Who knows.
I don't think he'll drop to the 2nd round. I was just joking.
Yes, I think he's a 3-tech or a 3-4 DE. I think he can be a 5-tech DE in an even front, but I just don't know if he can be an outstanding player in that spot. Well...I think we've already seen that he won't be a standout as a 5-tech. He had two seasons with Chase Winovich coming off the opposite edge, and there still wasn't enough juice to make a lot of plays.
Sorry I didn't catch the joke.
After watching him for 3 years, it seems like a risk to draft him with high expectations. I don't think he will play like a op 15 pick. But he has push against a double team, just not the quickness to get off the blocks and make havoc. Like you say, where's the juice. So it seems he'd make a better DT.
I wouldn’t put too much stock in PFF. Gary disappeared far too often IMO but he is still a first round pick and likely goes in the first half of the first round. His measurables are too strong to make it much further than that.
They don't think he will be taken in the 2nd round either.
