Something hit something which caused something to be called which caused something of a review which showed something may or may not have happened, that was something less than conclusive no matter how many somethings looked at something called a monitor, resulting in something that Purdue fans have something of a problem with.

A whole lot of something about nothing, if you want my opinion, so POSBANG me!!!

It did not change trajectory. You could draw a straight line from the in-bounder through the ball’s path. I wish people, especially Crispin, understood what parallax is.

And then the other idiot announcer said it hit the Gopher’s hand when that was impossible because it was on the other side of the Boiler player’s head. The announcers just wanted Purdue to get the ball because that makes for a better end of game scenario.

I agree. If we're talking about it hitting Coffey in the butt, it did not. The ball's spin never changed. It would have reversed spin or at least slowed its rotation if it hit the player. It was off Purdue's hand and nothing else.

I agree.  The change in trajectory from a butt hit was an illusion.  The spin never changed.  Crispin be hallucinatin'.  And yes, it was annoying how much he carried on about his hallucination.

The spin may have been placed on the ball by either Eifert's hand or Coffey's hand, but the video did not really show whose hand it was.

Nah. I think they destroy Northwestern. They have a conference title on the line and are desperate now that they lost to Minnesota.

It's exciting, though, that our game on Saturday is for at least a share of the conference title. If we beat MSU, I think everyone outside the record keeping office and West Lafayette, IN will consider UM to be the real champions considering we beat Purdue in the regular season. That is, of course, assuming Purdue beats Northwestern.

Correct.  Purdue loses tiebreakers to both Michigan and MSU.

The winner of the UM/MSU game will be the #1 seed.  If Purdue wins, they'll be #2, and the UM/MSU loser will be #3; if not, those two swap.

The advantage of winning Saturday, besides the obvious, is that Saturday's winner will only need to face (at most) one of the top three teams to win in Chicago.

Purdue is actually the most likely team to win a Big Ten conference title, per KenPom, but they're eliminated from being the #1 seed. :)

Purdue beat MSU and should have the tie breaker against them.  If MSU and Purdue win, Purdue is the 1 seed.  UM is the only team that controls their seed with a win.  The other two do not.

EDIT:  I didn't realize that Purdue and MSU played twice and split.  Sorry.

Geez he's bad. They deserved to lose the review for throwing a ball up for grabs up 2 with 5 seconds left.  And then during that review Painter is huddling his guys up, drawing shit up, coaching his ass off.  Pitino just stood around waiting.

And all that's aside from the fact they tried really hard to give that game away for 3-4 minutes straight by leaving shooters, turning it over, and missing clinching FTs. They should've won that game by double digits.

If we won Saturday night, it IMO would shoot us up to a major higher 2 seed for the Big Dance and have a chance to get a 1 seed in the big dance IF Michigan were then to also win the big ten tourney.  Michigan would be the outright conference winner and big ten tourney champ..that may be enough for the selection committee to put them at number 1 depending how the other teams around them do in their conference tourneys   ... this is all big ifs though.  Too bad Wake Forest didn't pull one out of their ass tonight vs Duke and then Duke loses again to UNC Saturday.  WF almost did
