HUGE WBB Home Game Tonight Against Rutger

Submitted by M Ascending on February 21st, 2019 at 8:06 AM

The WBB team is 18-9 and riding a 6-game winning streak.  They currently stand 4th in the B1G (9-6), one game ahead of four other teams.  Tonight at 7, they host Rutger at Crisler.  Rutger is currently ahead of Michigan in the standings and is always one of the top teams in the conference.  A win tonight would be a huge resume booster to help the team get into the Big Dance.

Unfortunately, the game starts at the same time as the MBB's game at Minnesota.  I will be taping the men's game for later viewing and attending the game at Crisler.  (I figure I can do more good cheering at Crisler than yelling at my t.v. screen.)  I urge all M fans in the Ann Arbor area to pack Crisler tonight and help our ladies keep their winning streak going.  It should be a great game.

I am not WD.  I am smarter and better looking than WD.  And I have a cooler t-shirt.  I have also been a big fan of the Olympic sports for decades.  I also attend softball and baseball games, wrestling meets, and lacrosse games (I played on the M lacrosse team from 1970-72) and, less frequently, gymnastics and swim meets.  I intend to attend the B1G indoor track championships being held at the fabulous new facility near Briarwood.

Go Blue! And sorry, WD, for throwing shade, but I had to defend myself.

Whoa slow down there maestro.....Rutgers is good at something?

I’ve assumed that a school that thinks it’s a good idea to invite Snooki to give a commencement speech to its graduating class isn’t useful for much of anything.

I'd go a step further and ask that they be discredited as an academic institution. Rutgers paid her $32,000.00 to come speak to their graduating class. Her parting words of wisdom were "Study hard, and party harder."

THAT'S who you want imparting life lessons onto your student body? I'll give Snooki credit in that she's good at what she does, and somehow there is a market for it. If someone is going to pay you a stupid amount of money to go on TV and be an obnoxious, self-absorbed drunk, then go for it. I won't criticize her career choices. But I'd be pissed if I found out that's what my tuition dollars were going towards: her coming onto my campus and attempting to lecture me about how to make good life choices.

All of a sudden, this is looking like a tournament resume. Fantastic job by KBA to make changes and keep the momentum moving after Flaherty graduated. Wish I could go to the State game coming up.
