Wrestling beats Rutgers 28-7
Another nice team dual win today for the #5 ranked Michigan wrestling team over #12 ranked Rutgers. UM wins 8 out of 10 weights on the Scarlet Knights' home mat. Biggest match of the day was at 133 lbs where Michigan's #1 ranked Stevan Micic took on Rutgers' #4 ranked Nick Suriano (both of whom were NCAA finalists at 133 and 125 lbs, respectively, last year). Micic pulled out a 3-2 decision to remain unbeaten on the season.

Rutgers was about to win each match and each wrestler got pinned at the last second

Major needs at 197 and 149 for next year. My hope is Storr bulks up to 149 and Silva Slides in at 141. Be Nice if Michigan could jump into the Ferrari brothers’ recruitments. Kind of concerning that Myles Amine is yet again out of the line up.

This team is wrestling well. Let’s hope for strong finish.
Recahing #2 in the Big Ten Ans NCAA would be a great finish. I don’t think anyone has a shot at PSU.

"Recahing #2 in the Big Ten Ans NCAA..."
Is this along the lines of another "Nik a CA"?

I thought I would try it in one of the less active threads just to see how it went.

Cliff Keen Arena is holding this program back from taking the next step and finally winning that elusive B1G Tournament title.
Recruiting very well in wrestling but a new facility would help.
Two sports that play in the best conference in the country in their respective sport (Wrestling and Volleyball) are being held back by an outdated, run down facility that was never intended to be an arena facility in the first place.
Cliff Keen was originally Matt Mann Pool and home to M Swim & Dive.

I agree that Cliff Keen has a very high school facility feel to it; however, the wrestling practice facility (Bahna) is top notch. The guys spend most of their time at Bahna so I doubt the facility where they host duals is that impactful on recruiting.
What's holding the wrestling program back from winning a B1G tournament title is the same thing holding every other program back: Cael Sanderson and the machine he has built at PSU.
