OT: Michigan Last Words

Submitted by StateStreetApostle on February 13th, 2019 at 3:07 PM

A trifle random: today is the third anniversary of the passing of Michigan Man (and former Chrysler CEO) John Riccardo.

The great man (long-time season ticket holder) passed away of a heart attack at Crisler just after that impressive win over Purdue (almost as impressive as that picture of Ricky Doyle at the link).

His last words were "Thank God Walton made those free throws!"  Which got me thinking...since no one gets out of this alive, what would your ideal Michigan passing/last words be?

After passing an angel would say to me, you will have to spend some time in purgitory for your earthly transgressions. And for your punishment you will be forced to watch you favorite sports team lose to your most bitter rival for 14 of the next 15 years.  And I reply “So, purgitory is just like hell on earth then?”

We few, we happy few, we band of MurderWolves;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in Michigan now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon the day of The Game.
