OT: George Campbell (former 5* FSU receiver) enters THE PORTAL

Not that he would have turned out a stud if he stuck with Michigan, but who knows?

I remember feeling miffed when, after he decommitted, he'd release some top-10 and top-5 lists with Michigan nowhere to be seen.  It really showed how little verbal commitments mean when someone can go from "committed" to "I'm not even close to considering you."

He wanted to be at Michigan. I believe the story was his family had other plans. If there were 10 other schools willing to play ball, so be it. That's not Michigan.

By the time he signed with FSU, they had already figured out he couldn't catch. He wasn't a 5*.

I couldn't figure out why a 6'3 15 yr old who ran a laser timed 4.3 was listed as a WR, S or DE. Later we found out he didn't have hands attached to his wrists. It would be hard to be a diva and play DE. Either way, his decommitment didn't affect us at all.

This recruitment is the reason I wasn't so fucked up over Zach Harrison. I don't understand how you can be that big and fast but still fall in the rankings. It's like there's something they aren't telling us.

And, where is the portal?  How does one know when a new player is in there?  Does the player's picture appear in the sky like in the Hunger Games?

I am also guessing that the portal is not actually like a thing that a player has go physically stand in, right?  That would seem overly burdensome.

That guy would have been a disaster under Hoke. He couldn't catch a football. Do you think he would have learned how to do that under Hoke's offensive coaching staffs?

He was a Michigan lean at one point - he was in the video that Caesar Ruiz filmed walking down the streets of AA with Harbaugh.

There ended up being a love triangle between FSU, UG and Michigan with him and Nauta.  Of course, we were the odd ones out.

Turns out Nauta was a loss but not so much with Upshur...

Campbell and Damien Harris both committed within the same week. It looked as if Hoke was a recruiting master as we were the leader for Hand as well.

Win some and lose some. And sometimes the ones we lose are not as big of losses as we thought.
