New in-state offers: 2021 LB Kobe King and CB Kalen King

Detroit (MI) Cass Tech linebacker Kobe King was offered by Michigan. He's a 6'0", 210 lb. prospect with offers from Indiana and Iowa State. Detroit (MI) Cass Tech cornerback Kalen King was offered by Michigan today, too. He's a 5'10", 165-pounder, and the same schools are after him.

Surprise: They are brothers.

The 2020 class is better than the 2019 class in the state, IMO, but it's not a huge difference. I think there are one or two more 4-star-or-higher-quality prospects in 2020 than there were in 2019. Devontae Dobbs is a boom-or-bust guy, where he could play like a superstar or he could disappear.

There are some really good 2021 prospects (Rocco Spindler, Garrett Dellinger, etc.), but it's too early to gauge the depth of 2021's class right now.

Magnus - based on the offers that Michigan has out to 2021 in-state prospects - the Clarkston duo you mentioned, Damon Payne, Donovan Edwards, Raheem Anderson, Davion Weatherspoon, Nick Steinacker, and now the King briothers - gotta believe 2021 is pretty loaded here in state.

Lot of beef/big dudes in the top Michigan players for 2021.

For So. players, those are sure some dudes. Looking forward to seeing them in 2.5 years on the roster (hopefully). Also nice to see State isn't anywhere on the radar. It's called being proactive and doing your homework. Hopefully if we have any Dobs in the 2020 or 2021 class it's by design.

Dantonio can "just continue to focus on" holding press conferences to talk about which coaches are going to play what role after the latest 7-6 season and domination by Michigan.

I don’t think so. Desmond went to East English Village, and I just read an SI article on him where there was no mention of younger brothers still in high school. It was a pretty good article on his younger brother, Devon, an autistic young man that Desmond took out to CA with him and is paying his way through art school.

The surprise is they are twins. Kobe is definitely bigger than that 6' 210 lb listing. I'd say he's about 6'2" 225, I see him usually a couple times a week. I don't see Kalen as often, but 165 seems about right. Both are great athletes and would be good additions to the team.
