Tre Jones was hurt in the first half, Cam Reddish was out with an illness, Duke's starters were 5-33 from 3 as a group (including 0-10 from Jack White), and Syracuse made a ton of tough shots, including a 70-footer to end the first half.

Big win for Cuse, and an opportunity for Michigan to claim the #1 spot with a win Saturday.

RJ Barrett ended up 8-30 (!) from the field.  Ouch.

Regardless of being short players - they have a lot of weaknesses. Three point shooting and rebounding are mediocre.

Had 12-0 lead to start game, and gave it up at home.  Unreal.

We have to go into Madison and take one - and we will be #1!  Not an easy task - but I believe that Beilein and our boys will do it!

I think he runs a bit of a "gimmick" system despite his obvious talent as a coach.  In the regular season in a tough conference I think that teams can plan for that zone and they end up losing a few tight games, especially since their offense is usually clunky.

In the tournament with short turnarounds and limited prep time on a weekend they can be a terror with that zone if you aren't prepared.  Look what it did to Duke's youth tonight - settled for a ton of 3s that had no chance of going in and looked lost for most of the shot-clock.

Good coach, but in a Rich-Rod way.
