Michigan has offered Ypsilanti Lincoln offensive lineman Tate Mackenzie in the 2020 class. He's listed at 6'8", 310 lbs. His only other offer is from Toledo. Here's a link to his highlights (LINK).

Ed Warrinner with a prophetic offer?   Without any other objective or subjective opinion on this, I am choosing to say - absolutely!

May he be the next Michigan 1st round tackle draft pick...

We'll see about this one.  A kid that size is obviously still in need of growing into his body.  Huge kid.  Not much flexibility.  Thunder feet.

Isn’t Lincoln the school that the #1 freshman b-ball recruit goes to (for now). He is also 6’8. What the hell do they feed those kids!?

How is he compared to Trey Leroux? He’s another 6’8 tackle from Ohio that has visited Michigan a couple times and he has a couple power 5 offers from Kentucky, Purdue, and West Virginia

In state recruiting for Oline has been crazy talented lately

2019 5 star Logan Brown 4th ranked OT/ 5 star Devontae Dobbs 1st ranked OG

2020 5 Star Justin Rogers 1st ranked OG

2021 5 Star Garrett Dellinger OT 2nd OVERALL recruit / 5 Star Damon Payne 1st ranked OG/

Bonus 2021 5 star Rocco Spindler DT 10th overall

Sadly Notre Dame and Ohio State current leaders for all of these in state 5 stars except Damon Payne but he's from Bellville and they don't seem too fond of us at the moment.

Seems to me that the talent in Michigan high school football is improving a lot. 2020 and 2021 are looking like years Michigan really needs to protect the home turf in recruiting

Absolutely have to get Dellinger and Spindler. They are teammates at Clarkston. Saw a video of Dellinger playing basketball and he is a very good athlete, very light on his feet. Spindler is the son of Mark Spindler who was a very good DT for the Lions in the Spielman era. I believe the elder Spindler went to Pitt.

Allen Trieu over on the 247 page is saying that this may have been a jumping of the gun on the saying it was an offer because Sam is hearing it is an offer contingent on him being able to do a couple of things including changing his body a bit.

Apparently he has some bad weight on his frame and that is something that needs to change before he can be considered ansything more than a project
