DOWN GOES DU... Ugh, never mind.

Of course the refs didn't call a foul on Duke when the FSU player who went up to rebound a missed Duke FT couldn't keep the ball from going out of bounds because he was being held. And of course the refs overturned the out of bounds call in favor of FSU and gave Duke the ball back. And of course they put time back on the clock. And of course Dickie V and the rest of ESPN's insufferable crew called the game as if they were cheerleaders for Duke. Why? Because Duke, that's why.

Having said all that, how do you let a dude get that wide open on a game winner? He had no one within ten feet of him!

From the overhead view, it looked to me like it could have gone off the Duke player because the trajectory of the ball appeared to change when it passed over him. Based on that, I don't think there was indisputable video evidence to overturn the on-court call.

But when Duke is involved, gray-area calls will always be resolved in their favor.

Well you're probably the only person you thought that. The trajectory of the ball didn't change whatsoever when it passed White and all the other angles minus the overhead clearly showed it didn't touch him. Being mad they overturned that is being mad because it's Duke. If that were Michigan and they didn't overturn it, like you are asking, you would have made a similar thread here talking about how the refs are rigging the game against Michigan. It was the right call.

FSU had its chances. They got a gift with Zion being sidelined the entire second half. They left Reddish all alone on that last play and gave him a wide open look at a three. Duke was not missing from behind the three point line. Was a huge defensive breakdown.

I get it, my friend. I hate Duke, too. I wanted nothing more than to see them go down. I wanted Michigan to rise to numero uno this week.

By the way, Duke getting the ball back with 2.5 seconds left was the right call. Absolutely sucked to watch, but it was the right call.

Duke is the best team in the country talent-wise. It is amazing what their freshman are doing. I still think a team like ours (Gonzaga is pretty similar which is Duke’s only loss) is what will take down Duke in the tourney.

Ugh, no gracias. I mean, I want Duke to be in a horrendously tough region, but with that trifecta you propose, could you imagine how nauseating it would be if msu somehow goon’d their way out of that region? I mean, it probably wouldn’t   happen because coach K absolutely owns izzo, but I’d rather face Duke in the FF than msu.

My hope is that someone takes Duke down in the tourney before we ever even have to come across them. Talent-wise, they have everyone in America beat hands down. Michigan included. But if we have to play them, we have a huge edge in one area they can’t get anything in before they’d play us.

Experience.

No one on Duke’s current roster has been in a game as remotely big as most everyone on Michigan's roster. Simpson, Poole, Livers, Teske, Matthews. They’ve all played for a national championship. No one on Duke’s current roster has played in a game as big as Beilein’s boys have played in.

I don’t want to play Duke. Under any circumstance. But if we have to, Beilein will have this team ready.

Damn. Was really hoping for Dookie to lose. On the bright side, Ohio State lost today (third loss in a row).

Let's beat em in hockey tonight again and make their weekend WINLESS. Sound good?

The ending of that game was tedious. Endless timeouts between both teams then Valentine having to review two calls (possession and time) and when it FINALLY happens, FSU leaves Duke open for the most wide open three point attempt shot in history. I was cursing before the ball left his hands. Happy the Buckeyes lost yet again, though.

Still leaves me more confident in our chances this year to win it all.  There's no '17-'18 Villanova out there.  Duke is far from unbeatable.  Kansas is far from unbeatable.  Virginia seems similar to us but we're better offensively.  Izzo Beilein's bitch.  Tennessee I actually know nothing about, but Woodson won the Heisman.  I'd bet on us if I had any money.

FSU had their chances. They lost when they couldn’t close the door on Duke’s shooters in the last 2 minutes. ESPN coverage is best watched with the mute on.  Time for dick vitale to do a quick victory lap and retire.

The one thing that I am not sure if it’s within the rules, but definitely in favor of duke, was the clock was not stopped after the 3 was made. About 1 sec shaved off
