Michigan played hard, but all those turnovers have kept Illinois in the game. Should be well in hand.

Even though that last shot was lucky, Dosunmu is quite impressive. He was a 5 star recruit out of Chicago. He has NBA potential at 6'5. I'm sure he won't be at Illinois for long, but how'd the big time programs not get to him? Maybe he just wanted to stay home.

Illinois basketball is still a big deal to a lot of people around the state. Probably mostly wanted to stay home but that's part of the draw.

It's a road game for us and the Illini are getting some calls in their favor. Nothing surprising about that at all.
It's now up to Coach B and his staff and team to fight their way thru it. I think they will.

It happens. Duke was only up by 7 at Wake Forest at halftime the other night. Sometimes bad teams just play above their heads. Illinois is at home against the #2 team in America, tournament hopes already on life support. They’ve got nothing to lose.
Hopefully they'll cut down on the mistakes in the second half.

Officials keeping Illinois in the game. Matthews was fouled twice as he as shooting on that shot clock violation. They're letting them mug us and then calling touch fouls when we guard.
