D-Line CC: Mike Trgovac?

I’m hearing a lot of chatter about Michigan alum and current Raiders D-Line coach Mike Trgovac. Nothing confirmed, just a face to keep your eye on.

First time I remember seeing his name kicked around on here was 2010 when some wanted him to replace Rich Rod as head coach.

Hasn't coached in college though since the mid-90s. Have to wonder about his recruiting capabilities/abilities/interest.

Though, to be fair, similar questions regarding his predecessor.

He was mentioned around here earlier than that, when some people got excited because he was seen around Ann Arbor and they thought he would replace Carr.  Others said to calm down, and that he was probably just visiting Bo.  (Obviously, this was when Bo was still alive.).

I love retorts like this.  Tell me exactly who is better and why Larry Foote is not a reasonable candidate for LB coach?  Or are you just shitting on this for no reason?

He went to Michigan so yes, that helps given that we had two coaches just give us the finger for our biggest rival.  He played over a decade in the league (look at the benefit Antonio Pierce had at ASU, particularly recruiting), and has been coach in that position in the NFL.

So tell me again why that's such a terrible suggestion and why your phantom, mystery pick is so much better?

I will give you credit for actually coming up with names.  Very few people do that so I'll tip my cap.

But he's not just a random ex-player.  There are many, many ex-michigan linebackers to choose from if that was the mark.

Foote was a LB coach in the NFL last year so even though you want to be condescending about it, it's a relatively justifiable option no matter how you slice it.

Lol Siravo was lb coach of the year just 2 years ago. Ok Foote coached last year in the NFL,  and? So did Pep 2 years ago. Just because you coached in the NFL doesn't mean you are a great coach in college.  I'm not saying Foote can't be a great coach,  I'm just saying stop throwing out ex Michigan players and acting like they are the best hire.

Let's see...

Mattison, who this board just FREAKED THE FUCK OUT on b/c he left for OSU instead of retired.  But he was a good DC here for Hoke, then a very good DL coach and recruiter.

Zordich I guess?  Everyone acknowledges he's excellent.

And that's it?

So yeah those guys and Pep.

Yep. Like the old tale--there are two rams, one young and one old, perched on a hill overlooking a herd of sheep. The younger one says to the older one, "Hey, let's run down there and fuck one of those sheep!"

And the older one says, "No, son. Let's walk down there and fuck them all."

Dammit, we're Michigan. Let's fuck ALL the sheep...wait...that didn't come out right.

you might not have liked colors, but it had a fair amount of realistic gangster life in it albeit some of the cleanest cut, nicest looking gangsters you'd ever meet.   i'm an O.G., so to speak, but those were reasonable representations of gangsters from my era back in socal.

sure, none of my guys were dating the gangster chicas and none of the chicas looked like the female protagonist in the movie either.

i don't know what/who our user name is in the context of a movie/series/TV show.  assumedly he's some kind of outlaw given your comment.
