OT - "Gladiator" Podcast (SIAP)

For those of you in the market for a good podcast, I highly recommend Gladiator, a podcast by Wondery based on a series of articles by the Boston Globe.  It covers all angles of rise and fall of Aaron Hernandez, from his youth, Florida, his time with the Patriots, through his death in prison.  It is several different things.  It is semi biographical with true crime elements, with lots of discussion on the nature of both college and pro football, CTE, etc.  Both Urban Meyer and Bill Belichick are pretty prominent figures in the narrative.  It is obviously not uplifting stuff, but it is very enlightening and a really good listen and at just 6 one hour episodes, is not particularly burdensome to get through pretty quickly.  I highly recommend it if you are looking for a podcast to get into.

(The name "Gladiator" can be a little misleading.  It becomes clear quickly that it is not intended in a "complimentary" form as it may sometimes be used, but more as kind of a reflection on the nature of football and the affects it may have on those who play it at different levels).

I'm sure my production at work went down while listening to this. I was fascinated by it. Great insight, interviews and facts I had not heard elsewhere. A very very troubled individual.
