$1000 to JPCs charity of choice

Per JPC: Next year's schedule is worse than this year's. We might get blown out by Army.

I will take being blown out as losing by 14. I'll take Michigan (-14). Loser pays 1000 to charity of winners choice.

JPC has been talking a lot of shit. Put up some cheddar, commit to the bet publicly or pound sand.

Your move JPC. If we are as terrible as you suggest, this should be a no brainer for you.

I say it’ll be a close game and that’s not a knock on Michigan.

Army is damn good, and they held an Oklahoma offense and quarterback that are so many tiers above us to just 28 points.

Add in that it’s week 2 and we may be breaking in a new DC and I say it’s a close-ish Michigan win (10pt-ish game).  Sorta like the Air Force game. Not really ever in question, but 100% uncomfortable.

I'd be more surprised if the Army game is not close.

They're not losing too much, player-wise-- including their starting QB, which is big in their offense. As much as we deride Harbaugh's apparent focus on time of possession, Army uses just that to minimize their opponent's chances on offense, and they're generally able to keep games relatively close.

Army's DC did leave for UNC; that will hurt them. The guy is good.

People talk a lot of shit on all sides of the football argument. JPC is no worse than everyone talking about how Michigan was gonna roll OSU (and UF for that matter). I frankly don't understand why people can't debate the merits ( and shortfalls) of the coaching staff and program without resorting to the put up or shut up and f-off stuff. That comes from both sides of the argument, btw.

I didn't, promise.

It made me highly uncomfortable that people were acting like it would be the end of civilization if we didn't go into Columbus and win.  Some of the most highly decorated posters here went waayyy out on that limb and it broke which didn't help the mood here.... I do think that if anyone not connected with the program feels that level of rage and it lasts for more than a day after such a loss they would benefit from finding other interests and ideally not football related.

OK I now have to research toilet tank repairs on New Year's Day, and DIY home projects are SO not my forte....grumble, grumble, grumble

Army is a good team. Love how their D always attacks the ball to create fumbles & strip sacks.

But who would bet right now, this far ahead ...lol

I like JPC. He makes our comments seem smarter, less reactionary, and less full of bullshit. We should all compare ourselves to him and we'll feel better about everything.

My account is over a month old, I'm not that original. I'm an accountant from Houston who loves the blog. I do not care if people are critical of JH or our team. We should do more zone on third and long? Maybe. What I don't like is asserting every potentially negative issue of all things UM. That is clear shitting on a program for fun. There are ample sites for people to torch scUM or what ever lame monicer our enimies throw our way.

JPC should grow up and go to his own board.

Don't see the irony. We don't talk politics, religion, Manchester United, cinema, new car models, etc. it's reasonable for MGOblog to blog about Michigan football and other sporps. Shitting in UM and being a troll is lame.
