Play To Win!

Submitted by BIGBLUEWORLD on December 31st, 2018 at 5:47 PM

Everywhere you go--Michigan news sites; MGOBlog; other blogs; Brandstatter and Dierdorf; Michigan football alum; national news--everywhere people are saying Harbaugh needs to get a more up-to-date offense.

Stop playing not to lose. We've got play makers. Let them get out and ball.

Coach Harbaugh: Get an OC who knows how to win and let him make good things happen.

He's got to be listening. Right?

Sorry if this is redundant but I'll say it again. No fear. Play to win!

JH makes more than any offensive mind in the nation. If he needs someone to come in and fix the offense he should be let go.  Besides that, I just don't see him giving up control.  At least after last season he said they would do full self scouting.  This is what they came up with after that.

This is why I hate people who brag about their MGoPoints, there are people who have enough points to post shit like this. Atrocious.

Seriously, Jim hears the noise and will do what needs to be done.

Once the Rams are eliminated, do not be surprised to see Jedd return and be given full control over the offense.

Pep will head back to the NFL soon.

Currently Michigan's offense is an establish the run PA outfit.  They mix in some RPO, but not a ton.  They do not run any sort of tempo...except slow.

I don't see Jedd changing this and I don't see him as more creative.

I would like to see radical change.  Hire someone like the Oklahoma State OC or Dan Enos, etc.

I’ve heard that Harbaugh is planning interviews with at least 5 current OC’s and a couple NFL guys (Fisch supposedly one of the NFL guys).

Ive also seen reports where Pep is supposed to be heading to the Lions (obvious after being in Green Bay?) I didn’t watch any of the pre/post-game pressers, but did anyone see where Pep apparently winked or smirked when asked if he was going back to the NFL or looking for another job?

I agree with everyone who says this post is redundant. You are right.

Nevertheless, MGoBlog needs to keep hammering this message home until we see some results.

Our collective effort helped get rid of Dave Brandon.

If we stay on message I believe we can work together to get the OC we need.

I'll give up a few points to work toward making that happen.

Happy New Year everyone!

There are probably half a dozen high school coaches in Texas that could be OC and score 40+ a game with our offensive talent.  With Harbaugh here we dont need a recruiter for OC, we need a true innovative Xs and Os guy.

If he doesn't turn it over to a good OC - he will officially lose the team & next year will be his last.

Not helpful.

Harbaugh is an obstinate, contrarian dude.

The more people that lecture him, the more he will dig in and "prove those bastards wrong".

He may never pass the ball again.

I don't think that's true.  He basically hired Dan Enos, who is at Alabama helping with that offense.  He did put in some RPO.  They put in some wide receiver screens.

They need to work on the blocking for those because they were not great at it.  Black tried to cut block a dude against Florida and missed...he's 6'-5"...just get in front of the defender.
