Not to be outdone, Bama Suspends 3 Football Players
Mates,
Apparently competition covers all aspects of football, and that includes suspending players. This came out just a minute ago:
Three Alabama players, including starting offensive lineman Deonte Brown, did not travel with the team to Miami and will not compete against Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff semifinal game at the Capital One Orange Bowl on Saturday.

Don't know if it's enough to swing the game, but there you have it, OU gets a Christmas gift from Satan.

Well seeing Oklahoma has no defense he probably figured he could stand to lose an offensive lineman and still be ok

Self-processing is a thing too. The means are unimportant, of course, only that it should happen to a certain number of players each year.

I sleep well and wake up every morning knowing i did everything I could to do it honestly. Peace. Be well.

I sleep well and wake up every morning telling people how I am Morally Superior.
I am obviously very popular at the water cooler.

I slept well all night hoping that Santa knows I tried to be a good boy all year and do things honestly, though I again got in trouble yesterday with my superiors for wasting company time at the water cooler boasting about being good.
Well, "the pees" just forced me to wake up, causing Santa to skip my house.
Or maybe because Santa doesn't want me to waste so much company time any more.
His Morally Superior message: Please. Be away from the well.

Oklahoma vs Notre Dame in the Natty would be a dream come true for all non SEC fans but most news networks would lose their minds, lol, mainly ESPN.
December 24th, 2018 at 10:02 PM ^
You think ESPN wouldn’t be elated to have ND in the finals?
December 24th, 2018 at 11:19 PM ^
NBC carries ND not abc

Not for the bowl games

Like I said in the Clemson thread.... Bama, bama, rabble, rabble, rabble, something, something!!!
December 24th, 2018 at 8:52 PM ^
Yeah...How is a team with ZERO defense supposed to beat Alabama?
December 24th, 2018 at 9:17 PM ^
Oklahoma still arguably has the best offense in college football. They could possibly win a real high scoring game against Alabama.
December 25th, 2018 at 11:21 AM ^
The same way Pep was supposed to conjure up a victory over OSU. Score TDs on every possession and hope the opponent makes a mistake.
December 24th, 2018 at 8:53 PM ^
nick saban is a humorless robot and all, and he obviously has enough depth and talent for this to likely not hurt his chances of winning, but i can think of several schools in the B1G east that wouldn’t think about sitting anyone in a playoff game for anything short of being videotaped while murdering someone. so kudos, i guess?
December 25th, 2018 at 6:43 AM ^
Got a link on those B10 schools?
December 24th, 2018 at 9:32 PM ^
I hope OU rails Bama. Nothing would make me happier
December 24th, 2018 at 11:29 PM ^
I know what would make me happier!
December 25th, 2018 at 2:48 AM ^
Two very good suggestions.
?

I don't see one starter betting suspended swinging the outcome of this one. I don't like it, but I still think Alabama handles Oklahoma handily.
December 24th, 2018 at 10:02 PM ^
So instead of 56-21 maybe it’s 53-21 instead.
Oklahoma has no defense. Bama suspending players doesn’t change that.
December 24th, 2018 at 10:45 PM ^
Is that even legal in Alabama?
Does the governor know?
December 24th, 2018 at 11:23 PM ^
Nick Saban appoints the Governor.
December 24th, 2018 at 11:29 PM ^
I thought he was the governor???
December 25th, 2018 at 2:22 AM ^
This is a popular misconception. The Alabama State Constitution actually says that the governor is nominated by the electorate, under the "advice and consent" of Nick Saban.
The confirmation hearings are grueling, and involve grilling on the nominee's understanding of split safety coverages.
December 25th, 2018 at 2:51 AM ^
It’s the Bear Bryant Constitutional Article that you are referring to, whereby the coach of the crimson tide makes the selection of governor.

this is good. I picked Oklahoma over Clemson in the championship...we will see.
December 25th, 2018 at 12:05 AM ^
All these players still have to focus for 5 more days. They'll never make it.
December 25th, 2018 at 2:41 AM ^
Was this an internal or NCAA test? Big distinction.
Testing positive by the NCAA is an automatic one year suspension whereas internal positive test is a one or two game suspension.
December 28th, 2018 at 1:52 PM ^
Not really thread worthy, so I'll bury this here:
As more has come out it looks like it was NCAA imposed, for more than the remainder of the season, and Bama websites are reporting that it is a failed drug test.
What a surprise to see both Clemson and Bama players failing drug tests.
