Mates,

Apparently competition covers all aspects of football, and that includes suspending players.  This came out just a minute ago:

Three Alabama players, including starting offensive lineman Deonte Brown, did not travel with the team to Miami and will not compete against Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff semifinal game at the Capital One Orange Bowl on Saturday.

Don't know if it's enough to swing the game, but there you have it, OU gets a Christmas gift from Satan.

I slept well all night hoping that Santa knows I tried to be a good boy all year and do things honestly, though I again got in trouble yesterday with my superiors for wasting company time at the water cooler boasting about being good.

Well, "the pees"  just forced me to wake up, causing Santa to skip my house.

Or maybe because Santa doesn't want me to waste so much company time any more.

His Morally Superior message: Please. Be away from the well.

Oklahoma vs Notre Dame in the Natty would be a dream come true for all non SEC fans but most news networks would lose their minds, lol, mainly ESPN.

nick saban is a humorless robot and all, and he obviously has enough depth and talent for this to likely not hurt his chances of winning, but i can think of several schools in the B1G east that wouldn’t think about sitting anyone in a playoff game for anything short of being videotaped while murdering someone. so kudos, i guess?

This is a popular misconception. The Alabama State Constitution actually says that the governor is nominated by the electorate, under the "advice and consent" of Nick Saban.

The confirmation hearings are grueling, and involve grilling on the nominee's understanding of split safety coverages.

Was this an internal or NCAA test? Big distinction.

Testing positive by the NCAA is an automatic one year suspension whereas internal positive test is a one or two game suspension.
