Steve Lorenz: Quavaris Crouch not yet off the board?

Submitted by Communist Football on December 20th, 2018 at 8:44 PM

Lorenz says Quavaris Crouch has "not informed any schools of what his decision is going to be," but that Michigan is one of the final two, and a decision (expressed privately) will come very soon. Rest of the details at 247.

4th and Go For It

That would require a thought to enter his head besides ALL THREE STARS ARE BAD and/or not have been banned.

Seriously though, the insufferable nature of people who interact with the world like Maizen does is the disproportionate reaction to information. No one has a problem if you express a strong opinion like ALL THREE STARS are bad by balancing it with gracious acknowledgement of accomplishments by the staff like securing Dax Hill or offering concessions on occasion that some three stars do in fact pan out and that maybe with coaching and evaluation SOME three stars could be ok and the sky is not in fact falling.

Maizens of the world see we got Dax and a ton of 4-Stars and think quietly to themselves, "See, I was right!" and then see us offer a 3-star and spend hours on the internet spewing venom and unrelenting rage. The world is black and white to people like Maizen and shades of gray to the rest of us reasonable people.

Totally agree. I actually think Maizen/DB etc. has a point underneath all the negativity: we do sign, not just a few more, but a lot more three stars than elite teams do--not just Bama, but OSU and a couple others. I think it's a legit point say that we likely won't achieve the status we all want for the program without getting a higher star percentage in the future. Now, that point is debatable, but it's not beyond argument. Where Maizen goes wrong is to imply that this higher percentage of 3 stars is by the choice of the coaches, and that somehow they prefer a Joey Velasquez to a (insert 4 star reference here)--which is idiotic. The coaches are recruiting the best players they can get, or arguably, the best players that the skill of our recruiters can get.

What apparently is too much is for people to stop talking about him. He gets brought up in every thread. Feeding his ego like that will ensure he never actually goes away.

Can we please just forget about and ignore him? At the end of the day all he wants is attention and reactions. Stop giving it to him.

I'm going to drink a beer if he commits to UM.  I'm going to drink a beer if he doesn't...with a slice of lime.

Some Vol message boards are claiming he's a silent commit to them and will send his LOI tmrw. Hoping they're wrong. All along i've wanted Dax, charbonnett, and Crouch more than any other recruit. Imagine Dax and Crouch on the same field together....Ok stop its not gonna happen... Maybe?
