Hill & Long WILL play in the Peach Bowl
December 19th, 2018 at 3:43 PM ^
Big if true. Paging umbig11 for confirmation
December 19th, 2018 at 3:52 PM ^
Doesn't take you long.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:55 PM ^
Not you too. I thought (hoped) you were better than this.....
December 19th, 2018 at 5:39 PM ^
Huh, that's interesting.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:15 PM ^
Fuck off Maizen
December 19th, 2018 at 3:43 PM ^
I got a little excited but that link doesn’t really make it sound definitive. We have known they are practicing. Anyway, let’s hope.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:47 PM ^
They’re fully intending to play.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:56 PM ^
Great news, thanks Isaiah.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:49 PM ^
More good news. These guys are ballers and will help win the game. Go blue!
December 19th, 2018 at 3:52 PM ^
Do you think Long or Hill is the most likely to return in the event that one of them does?
I don’t know why, but I think Long may return even though he looks like the most ready of the 2 at the moment.
December 19th, 2018 at 5:43 PM ^
I think both are gone. But don’t get too excited now B1G or bust, Ambry Thomas is going to be solid. Zordich/Brown will have no problem finding a suitable replacement from the talented returning second and third year players... maybe St Juste or spider Sims or Vincent Gray.
There is one piece not coming back to our chief rival who is definitely not leaving voluntarily - ? urban Meyer
Sorry, but ryan day is not scary
December 19th, 2018 at 3:49 PM ^
I hope they play.
...but Devin Bush said he was playing, and he isn't - so I'd take this with a grain of salt until it actually happens.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:50 PM ^
Devin Bush also sustained a relatively serious hip injury that is hindering him. Not really the same situation at all.
December 20th, 2018 at 8:38 AM ^
Definitely not the same situation - and I'm not saying they won't play.
...just at this point, with any player (not just at Michigan) that feels the need to announce they're going to play - I'll be uncertain.
It's getting sort of like when coaches guarantee they aren't interested in any other job... which means about a 50/50 chance they're leaving for another job.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:51 PM ^
Devin also said he hasn't been medically cleared to practice yet so I'm sure that played a part.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:53 PM ^
Honestly, Bush never said he was playing. In the interview he said something along the lines of "I would definitely like to play in the Bowl Game." The Rose Bowl was still possible at the time and he never really said he was "going to play." I got excited when that was posted and then saw the interview and remember thinking that he really did not say what was attributed to him.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:53 PM ^
I think Bush probably thought his injury wasn’t as bad as it ended up being. Had he not gotten dinged up against OSU, I really think the kid would be playing.
He’s a warrior and I’m going to miss his closing speed so much.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:10 PM ^
He’s a warrior and I’m going to miss his closing speed so much.
We all are, well perhaps not opposing offensive players trying to beat him to the edge, but the rest of us are totally going to miss his closing speed.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:13 PM ^
I guess the bonus is, Bush gave us a blueprint to what type of athlete can really thrive in Brown’s system. I can’t wait for the next Devin Bush.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:00 PM ^
Mike Zordich has a little chat with them. He might know a thing or two about the NFL.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:00 PM ^
Neat. Hopefully the owning of Florida continues. There's very few teams who we've had the pleasure of maintaining constant dominance over recently. With MSU and PSU's rise, it's kind of down to Minnesota, Indiana, and Florida. Let's keep it going.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:10 PM ^
Rutger too since 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 19th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
why in the world did you include penn state in that comment?
December 20th, 2018 at 6:10 AM ^
Because they and MSU were the two teams we used to own almost regardless of record for a long time? Like I said in my comment?
December 19th, 2018 at 4:02 PM ^
doesn't matter. We couldn't deliver harrison. this program is fucked. . .
s/
December 19th, 2018 at 4:02 PM ^
So that Diagonal Bolivia-Bound Blue asshole guy was wrong?
December 19th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
I don't know if anyone is right or wrong yet. We'll find out when the defense runs on the field Dec 29th. Personally, If I were Harbaugh I'd tell them both to not announce a single thing before the game, either way. You want Florida to have to prepare and game plan for our difference makers. Kind of the same thing as not announcing a QB until the last minute
December 19th, 2018 at 4:11 PM ^
Speaking of secondary, did Quinten Johnson sign yet?
December 19th, 2018 at 4:12 PM ^
It is supposed be happening like right now I think.
EDIT - Per Maize and Brew, he has signed, but won't announce until the rest of his teammates in February(?) I don't know, that is what the man said.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:34 PM ^
Where on MnB did you see that? According to The Wolverine, Quinten Johnson won't sign until February. Something about his school wanting him to wait until February?

December 19th, 2018 at 4:11 PM ^
Oh it’s on
December 19th, 2018 at 4:13 PM ^
.....but the program is in disarray, everyone is transferring, we are losing out on recruits and nobody is playing in the bowl game. Sorry that was two days ago/Maizen coloured glasses view!!
Go Blue!
December 19th, 2018 at 4:14 PM ^
Thank Christ. I am so sick of hearing the bad news that has deadened the outcome of this season as if it were a disaster after Ohio State. Today's recruiting class announcements are so exhilarating that nothing else truly matters because this program is alive, well and doing fine.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
Well, this is some good news amongst the other good news.
After hearing about Bush, I kind of wondered about these two, but I'll be excited to see them out there on the 29th.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:19 PM ^
Great news. Bang, bang!!
December 19th, 2018 at 4:21 PM ^
Good. See, I actually care about this game, unlike some people I know (ahem...MGoJeff).
December 19th, 2018 at 5:00 PM ^
Best guess is that both will wait to hear what the NFL guys say. If they hear that both (or one) are a Day 1 or 2 pick, they leave. If they hear Day 3 or undrafted, they stay and work on what the NFL guys say they need to work on.
Similar to Shea in that regard I'd imagine.
December 19th, 2018 at 5:03 PM ^
but but but, everyone is jumping ship! the program is in turmoil!
December 19th, 2018 at 5:12 PM ^
I'm at the point where I would be happy if just one of them came back for next year.
December 19th, 2018 at 5:27 PM ^
Well yeah. I think we all would.
December 19th, 2018 at 5:27 PM ^
I’m holding out hope.
Thomas will be good in his own right, but some senior leadership will always help.
December 19th, 2018 at 5:26 PM ^
Who is the one that Coach Harbaugh was reportedly mad at?
KH I assume?
December 19th, 2018 at 6:01 PM ^
It's not clear to me that the article actually says that.
December 19th, 2018 at 6:13 PM ^
Thankful.
December 19th, 2018 at 7:29 PM ^
Really throws a wrench in the "what's going on with the team" crowd's argument
December 19th, 2018 at 7:46 PM ^
Great news
December 19th, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
I wish them both the best in the NFL, but I selfishly hope that at least one of them comes back for one more season.
December 19th, 2018 at 8:37 PM ^
My understanding is that Long has the best chance to return. Both are practicing and planning on playing, I wouldn’t be shocked if one or both are dinged up and don’t play thought. Expect Vincent Gray to play next year, it’s my understanding that BSJ hadn’t played much at all the last two years(injuries). Won’t be surprised if he never plays st U of M
