You haven't been listening then. He had Wilfong on and they both said that Michigan will leave the star gazers happy by the end of the day. Maybe it's just me being overly optimistic. I'm not saying Dax Hill is coming, but they are intimating something we haven't planned on happening.

Michigan coaches think Dax is back in the saddle.

ZH to osu, but as of last night GM would not say it's over...

CJ to the good guys, working on 2 flips, but more than anything keeping our connections strong with two of the kids who are Feb commits.

In regards to the transfer ishh.

This really started last winter.  When DrakeH, MoeW, AlexM, IanB, and WilS all got in their feelings about most likely not coming back.  They took the higher road but still showed their disappointment to some of the younger players.  So, of course, when some of the said young players got the handshake, or were told they had to earn their scholly in Spring ball, they got upset.  A bunch of these kids were close, and parts of JH first recruiting cycle.  Once the list began to grow some disdain for certain coaches started to spread.  KeokaC, EdM, TyW, KareemW, DrewS, JamesH, and other (for whatever it's worth KurtT was never part of this group, always showed up with a great attitude and always doing what was asked of him). This same group of guys was upset when the staff let AhmirM go, after he broke countless rules.

Nothing about this is rare in big time college ball.  JeddF spoke about this at length at a coaching clinic this summer, and with the rules changing on transfers, is really just the norm anymore in college football.  Let me be clear: KeokaC, EdM, TyW, KareemW, DrewS, & JamesH ALL LEFT MICHIGAN BECAUSE THEY GOT OUT WORKED IN CLASSROOM AND FOOTBALL FIELD.  That is what we should all want out of our coaches, no favorites, the best and hardest working players should play.

PS:  Not sure the AubreyS stuff is over, but does not sound like coaches are begging for him to come back either..  3 more transfers at a min, team will add Grad Transfers this summer.  Bowl prep has been awesome, going to see some young guys get some burn, the future looks great.  The O-Line and back end both been doing great in prep.

cheers

Thanks for the info, its always appreciated!

When you mentioned the 2 flips, would those be the February signers or the early enrollees?

I am glad that if anything the reason those players transferred was because they were flat out beaten by other players who wanted it more. You could see players, especially at the WR position, working their tail off. Examples are of Ronnie Bell and Oliver Martin, both had guys in front of them but still fought for their time on the field.

Soloman stuff seems weird. Kid just needs to put his nose in the dirt and play tough. He has so much potential.

Wiltfong posted this in his latest update:

Wouldn't be surprised to see the nation's No. 1 safety Daxton Hill land back with the Wolverines. The Tulsa (Okla.) Washington stand out committed to the Wolverines in September, made a shocking flip to Alabama earlier this month, but the Wolverines staff has hung in there and could win out.

ultimately it was Urban Meyer’s decision to step down after the season that was the final dagger into OSU’s chances to hang on to the South Florida Standout.

Anybody who thinks that an obscure former assistant coach in Ryan Day is going to be able to just keep pulling 5 stars out of FL, TX, CA, the DMV to go play in cold weather rust belt Ohio State is nuts.

Those elite recruits were going north to play for Urban Meyer, not Ohio State.

Wasn't that the exact same thing with Jordan Battle? Miller and Wilson had every reason to decommit and look elsewhere, they didn't. They've already said they're committed to cosch Day.

If you're praying Ohio states out of state recruiting is somehow going to take a hit without Urban Meyer, you might not want to pay attention to the 2020 class, just saying.
