I’ll never forget this one time I went to a Dodgers game with my buddy who is a lifelong Angeleno. I noticed a guy wearing the familiar block M with what appeared to be “MICHIGAN” written underneath on his sweatshirt. So I pointed him out and said to my friend, “See, we’re everywhere.” As the guy got closer, my friend busted out laughing. Apparently, the sweatshirt said “MACHINGON.” As my friend explained, that’s Mexican slang for, “Bad ass.” Don’t mess with the Machingon.
