"Being approximately 45 minutes away from Ann Arbor, the sophomore had the opportunity to take a visit recently to last year’s National runner-up, Michigan. Julian has high remarks for the way the Wolverine staff connects with prospects during the recruiting process.

“With Michigan they’re really cool. Talking to the coaches and they have me with the other recruits and commits. They just do good with building relationships. Coach Saddi even came to my first game this year.”

...

Coming from a close-knit family that has always emphasized education, Julian is quick to point out that academics loom large in the decision-making process when the time comes.

“Yes, academics will for sure be a big factor in which school I choose in a few years.”

I think these comments bode well for Coach Beilein and staff.

I'm a bit closer to this recruitment than usual, as I've known Julian's Dad for over 20 years. That said, I think Julian checks all the boxes for Coach Beilein and if he continues to develop on the court (which I believe he will), he certainly fits the bill with respect to off-court preferences of Coach Beilein (two-parent family, humble, no red flags, good academic standing)

Can you give a bit of an outline for the 2020 class? How many guys we'll probably take? Likely targets? Most realistic commits alongside Zeb Jackson?

Always a pleasure to share recruiting insight/evaluations with a great community like MGo. And certainly appreciate Brian giving me the OK to post my content here, as MGo does a great job with basketball content independent of anything I provide.

I'll try to be a bit more active, as I've been hit or miss this year as I've been dealing with my daughter's recruitment/visits.
