They even find a way to mess up a touchdown...
December 16th, 2018 at 6:19 PM ^
my Sundays have been Lions-free since Barry retired.
December 16th, 2018 at 1:39 PM ^
Oh, it's not impossible, but the odds really don't warrant serious discussion.
That said, the Lions did finally find the end zone to go up 6-0 with 10:45 in the 2nd. The PAT attempt was....yeah, let's just not go there.
December 16th, 2018 at 1:41 PM ^
Go lie-downs!!! They will win just enough games to miss the playoffs and screw up their draft status.
Oh yeah, martha will raise prices next year due to the fantastic finish the team has shown.
Looking forward to the Patriots - Steelers game at 4:30.
December 16th, 2018 at 2:04 PM ^
Exactly this. If you're clearly not going to make the playoffs winning additional games only hurts your future. Put everyone half decent on IR and start scouting hard for next year.
December 16th, 2018 at 1:46 PM ^
Why. Why. Why.
Why would you make that foul?
December 16th, 2018 at 2:01 PM ^
da billssssssss
December 16th, 2018 at 2:25 PM ^
I just don’t understand why you would want the lions to win at this point. It just makes the draft pick next year worse.
December 16th, 2018 at 2:27 PM ^
hi. my name is xtramelanin and i am a lions fan....
December 16th, 2018 at 2:36 PM ^
I have been a Lions fan for 15 years, five weeks, and six days.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:11 PM ^
Luckily I went cold turkey years ago and haven't fallen off the wagon. Go Pats!!!
December 16th, 2018 at 3:02 PM ^
It's been 26 seasons since my last playoff win...
December 16th, 2018 at 3:03 PM ^
please lose lions. Get that better draft positioning
December 16th, 2018 at 3:18 PM ^
Last week the Lions had a chance to get a top 3 draft pick, looks like they will end up in the 8-12 range and that will suck ,because we always have a couple top 10-12 guys fall to early 2nd round
Lions can't even lose the right way
December 16th, 2018 at 3:37 PM ^
Romo with the jinx.
December 16th, 2018 at 3:49 PM ^
How many times has Stafford thrown a 2 yard pass on 3rd and long in this game?
December 16th, 2018 at 10:03 PM ^
Somebody forgot to tell him Golden Tate isn't on the team anymore to make first downs magically appear out of thin air, and he needs to throw long on 3rd and long, again.
December 16th, 2018 at 3:56 PM ^
I don't have feed. Watching on gamecast.
Why did Buff call a timeout? They're leading.
December 16th, 2018 at 3:59 PM ^
Since the super bowl era, the lions have 1 more playoff win then the wolverines. Go team?
December 16th, 2018 at 4:11 PM ^
Sounds like you did a lot of research for that.
Research the word - than.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:21 PM ^
You probably thought your post was funny.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:37 PM ^
Yeah maybe. I find people who like to type talk shit on the interwebs but haven't mastered 2nd grade English pretty pathetic. Mocking you is an easy giggle.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:02 PM ^
For those of us, Lions fans, that are tired of being mired in mediocrity, this was a good outcome.
I want a high draft pick.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:03 PM ^
....but last week's win really hurt.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:04 PM ^
It did.
Want them to win, they lose. Want them to lose, they win.
They came through for me today though.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:03 PM ^
exactly i dont get why anyone would be pissed off about a loss at this point. im sick of going 8-8 9-7
December 16th, 2018 at 4:08 PM ^
Quinn takes some heat, but between him and Patricia, I'm willing to give them a shot at rebuilding.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:10 PM ^
Better get used to it...doesn't matter what this franchise does as they will always be that kind of team. There isn't one thing about Detroit that gives you hope for future years. Freaking Cleveland went from completely awful to a team that is very competitive in just a season (and I fully expect them to make the playoffs next year). Meanwhile, Detroit has been stuck in the same rut for years. For whatever reason, the Lions can never be the team that makes a crazy positive leap from one year to the next and IMO it will stay that way as long as the Ford's run the show.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:57 PM ^
What do the Fords have to do with it? Seriously! Martha fired the old regime - swept them all out. She brought in a GM the league recommended. She let the GM setup the front office and bring in the coach the he wanted. She brought in cheerleaders, like the fans wanted. She pays the prices that the players want.
WTF else can she do to make the team a winner? Should she put on pads and get out there to lead by example? JFC! Patricia is there now, whether you (we) like it, or not, and he's not leaving this year - or next year. Give it a chance before blowing everything up again!
Cleveland has had 4 first round picks in the last two years, and they aren't hampered by the salary cap. Which is something Quinn had to inherit...
December 16th, 2018 at 4:08 PM ^
Thank you Lions for fucking me yet again.
Week after week, year after year, decade after decade, I can always count on you to fuck my pool. You always do it. Pick your pathetic team to lose? Nah fuck that. You win a game you're not supposed to. Pick you to win? Nah fuck that - lose to a team far inferior.
Thanks again! FUCKERS!!
December 16th, 2018 at 4:38 PM ^
"A team far inferior." Like who? The Lolcats are so bad that there's no such thing. Not at this point anway.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:58 PM ^
Like the 2018 Buffalo Bills. Exaggeration aside. I hope the Fords send whoever the fuck owns the Browns a gift basket every Christmas. Without them the Liedowns would easily be the worst franchise in history. Cleveland actually has a better history, just not for anyone under 95 years old.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:11 PM ^
Maybe the New Browns. But back in Bernie Kosar's day, they had 3 playoff wins.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:47 PM ^
Yeah I remember those days. I'm guessing most don't. Since Schottenheimer left 30 years ago they have had 4 winning seasons (didn't have a team for 3). So yes the Lions and Browns IMO are at the bottom of the ladder of NFL all time teams. Lions might be looking down but they don't have to look far. Without going back and figuring out how many times the Browns traded out of their slot you have to realize that they were set for a top 5 pick probably 15 times in those 30 years. Hard to imagine a team missing on players that many times. 16 times they had 5 or fewer wins and 6 wins twice in that span.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:30 PM ^
Falcons wins too
Good draft order weekend for the Leos.
December 16th, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
Matt Statsford is on the down slope of his mediocre and overpaid career. The Lions, if they are smart, should starting making plans for his demise.
They should draft Dwayne Haskins and groom him under Statsford for 1 year, and then cut Statsford loose.
Haskins has the tools and moxie to be a Franchise QB, as long as he works hard and stays humble.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:07 PM ^
What a dumbfuck. If Stafford was on any halfway decent team in his career he would have 3 rings. He's basically been the entire team for a decade. Haskins will be the next tPOSu QB to never do anything in the NFL.
December 17th, 2018 at 1:42 AM ^
Fuck off for insulting me.
Look both ways before your cross the street little boy.
December 16th, 2018 at 5:19 PM ^
Wow, I don't think I've seen two guys keep the ball from landing in the end zone, and a third downs it at the one. Kudos to the Pats' punt cover team.
The first guy was even slowed by the PR faking a fair catch.
December 16th, 2018 at 6:07 PM ^
Im not one to lose for a higher draft pick, I’ve always thought winning teams have winning cultures, but I understand why folks think it’s good to lose when the season is over anyways. That said, who are the players folks really want in the draft that warrant the Lions wanting to tank from here on out? If it was a franchise QB sure but I don’t see that happening.
