And Eastern Michigan plays at 5:30 ESPN vs Georgia Southern.

They're actually a steadily improving program and the coach Seth Litrell was in talks to get the Kansas State job until he found out how much influence Snyder would still have.

I feel sorry for you then, because this Villanova v Kansas game is better than any bowl game today. It also means more to our season than the bowl games today mean to our football team.

Agree. I was trying to say I can't seem to watch 2 really small schools that I haven't heard play basketball but I can watch almost any football game. Kansas is #1, so no problem with watching it.

I watched enough of the Div II playoff game last night between NDSU and SDSU (NTSDSU) to firmly believe that NDSU would beat any of the Div 1 teams playing this weekend. If I miss them today, I'm not really going to care...

I agree. When Michigan wins, I can't get enough football. When they lose... I kinda wish football didn't exist, at least for a while.

If I'm being completely honest, remembering last year's bowl game gives me trepidation as well. I'm definitely watching, but my confidence level is dead even with our performance level, anymore.

So last weekend was Army vs Navy
The weekend before was the conference title games
If they started an 8 team playoff, it would start today. This would generate significant revenue for the NCAA and four more schools. If you wanted to keep the other bowls, you still could.
Wonder how many years in a row Bama vs Clemson will still be appealing ?

Does it even take a winning record to make it into a 'bowl' anymore? I think last year at least one 5-6 team made it in. About the only thing these early games are good for is background noise whilst wrapping Christmas presents.

I have trouble believing that there are 80 teams deserving of a bowl bid. Way too many mediocre to bad teams leads to too many mediocre to bad games.
