Good College Hoops Today

Submitted by UMich2016 on December 15th, 2018 at 11:07 AM

Whats goin on folks...some decent college basketball today.  We get to see some of the teams we beat (destroyed) in action against the Nations best.  Would be pretty exciting to see Nova or UNC pull it out today.

17 Villanova versus 1 Kansas at noon

12 North Carolina versus 4 Gonzaga at 7pm

Michigan - Western Michigan at 2pm

Bonus:  Browns - Broncos Saturday night game... Baker will go down as a legend

Cheers.

We're in such a good position that I don't think we "need" either NC or Nova to win. I could see an inspired UNC, with its superior athleticism, challenging the Zags but find it hard to picture a Villanova victory. Thanks for drawing my attention to these games.

It would be nice for Villanova and UNC to win but those will be viewed as great wins no matter what.  Given the strength of the Big Ten this year, if we win it and 3 peat as tourney champs we'll be a 1 seed no question.

I don't see Nova hanging with Kansas. UNC could hang with Gonzaga. Decent chance both get blown out though

UNC vs Gonzaga will be a much more competitive game than Villanova vs Kansas, although I would be surprised is either is that close. The best game might be Indiana vs Butler.

Nova might get em . Michigan would move to 1 if Nova and UNC win. How would that be for recruiting to be at 1 for a month or two? Perception matters . Top dog program

Villanova taking too many bad threes instead of putting pressure on Kansas interior.

I get it, teams, especially young teams, change and improve as the season progresses. But we certainly looked a hell of a lot better against Nova, on their home court, than the supposed #1 team does... at home.
